Truly underrated. I still don't get why this kind of videos don't get much more views. Has to be a glitch in the matrix

I just stumbled across your channel and wanted you to know how great I think it is. I’m honestly surprised that you don’t have more subscribers, the way you analyze games is downright professional. If you were around before all the massive KZfaq algorithm overhauls, I could see you being at the level DidYouKnowGaming is at. I can tell you really enjoy making these videos and that’s part of what makes them so special and enjoyable to the viewer. Never stop following your passions and what brings you true joy. That’s one of the things Nintendo teaches to us, and a lesson you’ve mastered better than most ever will.

This is the first game I played where ammo and pickups were placed with logic, like from a downed enemy or a locker, and not just a floating power up.

I'm hoping the Algorithm God's will finally bless this channel with the subs it deserves! I've only recently came across this channel, and it's a crazy sight to see 6 year old comments regarding the quality/subs ratio!

Hey, great video. I have mixed feelings about Half Life. I definitely respect it for everything it did for video games. The story is cool, the lore is great and mysterious, and it introduced so much. But I just played it for the first time last year, and it has to have been one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I have ever had. Some of it is age, such as how Gordon is constantly sliding around even when you're not holding any keys down. He just glides like a few feet after moving and it makes platforming really wrong. I pretty much had to save before any jump because there's a good chance Gordon will just slide right off whatever he's landing on. Especially if it's a pipe lmao. I think that was a Quake engine thing, but what a nightmare. Besides that, it aged great. Especially the graphics. And this next problem, could definitely be a personal skill issue, but this game is fucking hard. I must disagree with you saying it warns you about danger. So many times you just turn a corner, open a door, or just start a level, and you just get swarmed with nonsense. And, I know I'm not Doom Guy, I have to take my time, be careful, and I'm not invincible. Big example is when you start a level by having to jump out of the railcart before it plummets down an elevator shaft. There was no warning that I was about to fall down a hole to my death. Or the turrets. I'm guessing I'm supposed to lose most of my health my first time I encounter those? I wonder if people have been able to do this game hitless? There are plenty more examples of getting my lunch money stolen by npcs in this game. I hit the quick load button hundreds of times, without exaggeration. Sorry so much is complaining (I hope it at least came off as light hearted and not me just shitting on it. I do really respect this game). I feel like I like the idea of Half Life. I love learning about it. I wanna know more about the G-Man, about the other dimensions, and what not. But I never want to touch this game again lmao. And also, great videos, really liked the Zelda series videos (which, is funny to me because I also seem to like the idea of Zelda games more than I like playing them lmao). Liked and subbed. Have a great day.

I don't care much for most FPS's but you nailed the reason why I think that Half-Life 1 and 2 are so excellent. They seemed to transcend the genre itself.

Im someone who despises the over-use of cutscenes in games. They are fine to give context to plot and story. But being able to tell an interesting story through the environment, level design and characters you interact with is just amazing.

Great content, could you possibly do one for perfect dark 64. I hardly see good content on it, but it had such amazing world building and characters, especially the protagonist.

Never played the Half-Life games, mostly because I wasn't a PC gamer until, like, 8-9 years ago, and also I have a difficult time getting into first-person shooters. Still, even I know Half-Life's influence is big and long-reaching, even without playing it myself.
