Great review, I concur with everything said here. I bought mine with the intention of upgrading to a larger bike after about 6 months. I still have it 3 years later. I can’t see the point of upgrading now as it’s so much fun to ride. It’s a very underrated bike and ridden property, it will keep up with bikes twice the size mainly due to it’s cornering ability and the power to weight ratio. The only bike I’d swap it for is the R3.

People always think bigger = better but sometimes it’s fun to ride a smaller bike and use the full extent of its capabilities

thought id get rid of mine after the first season of riding, but honestly dont see why I would ever need something more powerful, bike is such a blast and looks great and is comfortable enough for me!

I'm in the same boat! Expected it to be a "starter" bike but I don't miss anything from an MT-07. My only reasons for trading in would be fitment (I'm taller) and gearing - first is way, way too short.
