This show is definitely one of those that “heals your inner child.” I think most of the adults who watch it are also mourning that this isn’t the childhood that they had. At least I am. Bandit and Chili are wonderful parents who put a lot of effort into treating their kids fairly and all learning together, and a lot of people didn’t have that experience when they were younger. This show has made me cry on multiple occasions, and it was usually because I had WISHED that someone had taught me the things being taught in the episode, or that I WISHED my parents would’ve talked to me the way the parents talked in the show. And at the same time, it helps you recognize that your parents didn’t do those things because they were never taught how either. I feel like this show is going to raise a generation of fantastic friends and families.

This is why I think I like this show so much. It's not often that you get a show with good parents in it. Honestly, I feel like the Bandit and Chili are really good at communicating with their kids. If I remember correctly, there was this one episode where Bingo and Bluey were causeing a ruckus, and Chili asked them to stop. The kids asked why and she explained to them that, them ruff housing makes her annoyed because they make a big mess that she has to spend hours cleaning. I feel like a lesser parent wouldn't have explained it to them, and instead would have said something along the lines of "because I told you so".

Is there any particular reason all think so? Personally I think that this is basically Peppa Pig but with more egoistic kids. My sister (8) definitely moved in the direction of being a braindead moron after watching this. Usually the parents are too strict and make the kids look dumb before other kids. But here the kids make the parents (especially dad) look psychic ill in front of the world. One day their dad will land in a psychiatry because of the S.H.I.T kids. S.H.I.T. = self-centred, hedonistic, idiots terrorising their parents

As an Australian, it's both alarming and pleasing in equal measure to see Australian culture represented in a cartoon instead of just American culture. Even more so for me since I'm from the city Bluey is set in! I left Australia over half a decade ago, and watching Bluey makes me feel a bit homesick.

From my American point of view Bluey is such a refreshing show. And I think a lot of Americans agree. There simply wasnt anything like it before. When I was growing up I had Dora the Explorer, Maggie & the Ferocious Beast, Blues Clues, Little Bear, Oswald, The Backyardigans, Rolie Polie Olie…all good stuff…but none of those shows did a crucial thing Bluey does…show parenting and family time in a really good light. That is special and has been missing in American preschool shows.

I like how Bluey is actually an "all ages" show that is ACTUALLY for ALL ages. It doesn't just try to be a preschool show that does crazy stuff to catch a baby's attention span. They deal with mature themes without being inappropriate, while also not shielding them from the very real parts of life. And the adult characters aren't 100% perfect, they feel like actual adults and that makes the show great for adult audiences, with or without children. Bluey is just one of those family-friendly shows that are aimed for families of any kind and I just wish like there would be more modern G-rated shows that are indeed children's shows but are also considerate to their more adult demographic and dealing with deep topics carefully and heartfully. I'm glad the show wasn't redubbed into American English, like certain British shows have. If anything, the show is teaching kids from other countries about Australian culture, which is a good thing. Then they're more open to other point of views. After all, Bluey was meant to be the Peppa Pig for an Australian audience.

I think one thing I really enjoyed about Bluey is that the parents feel like people. They're not these all-knowing cardboard cutouts with "MOM" and "DAD" written on them. Nor are they the spineless pushovers like in SOME other preschool shows. They have their own personal struggles and personalities. They feel like people who have lives outside of being around their kids all the time. Makes the lessons they teach feel more genuine.

As someone who works in a vet kennel. I like the attention to detail they take with the dog breeds. The Australian Heelers(Bluey and Co.) are prone to being over energetic and snappy. I also love how accurately bluey portrays children. It was like looking back into my young childhood. People always seem to assume little girls only like to play princesses or dolly's and they also make children in most media too perfect, and I can never seem to relate it to my childhood. Bluey though is just like how me and my sisters used to play, and it shows that all kids have their difficult moments. We were always playing pretend and making up fun games, a lot of them super similar if not exactly like the one's bluey and bingo play, and a lot of the emotional scenarios in bluey actually happened to me, like when they found the injured bird. It is so sweet and comforting to watch this show and it feels so real.

As a teen watching this show, it does me justice on so many levels. It reminds of when I was a kid and when I acted like Bluey and Bingo, but it also stays real and reminds me that not every thing is so simple. This show reminds me of the great things I had as a kid: loving parents, toys, friends, life lessons, etc. while also keeping me optimistic about what awaits me in the future. Maybe I'll have my own family and play games with my kids. This show also reminds me to be there for my little brother. Sometimes I act like Bluey where I don't take my brother seriously or sometimes I dismiss him, so I'm trying to treat him more right. I have to realize that he's five years younger than me, and is not as mature as me. I want to be more involved in his life so he'll remember me as his friend instead of someone who just lived with him. I guess I kind of want to be more like Bandit in that regard.

Bluey does such a good job at displaying what the ups and downs of what parenting and having a family is really like and even pokes fun at stuff that adults actually do from time to time when they're around their kids. It doesn't really try to act like a typical children's show that's mainly focused on just entertaining the kids, but instead makes itself to where both adults and their children can enjoy it together. It plays itself out like an honest-to-goodness family friendly sitcom. It's such a great show, in all honesty, and it feels like it was designed with families in mind. I've watched it with my daughter and she enjoys it greatly. You can tell that this show was lovingly written and made by people who actually have kids themselves.

"Both of them have their fair balance of being goofy and fun-loving, and actual, responsible parents." - That's one of the things I really love about Bluey. It doesn't pinhole Bandit or Chilli into being a solid stereotype of one kind of parent. Bandit appears at first glance to be just a goofy fun-loving whacko but he is very much also a firm dad when he has to be. And the moments when Chilli joins in the tomfoolery or even gets up to some without Bandit present are truly surprising for me.

The episode with Bluey realizing she won't see her new friend again after they leave camp is so freaking real. I remember staying at this one place for a week when I was a kid. I became friends with two brothers, and one day I camp back to my campsite and saw them in the car about to leave. Their parents stopped and we talked a bit. Then said bye. I think it, like Mister Roger's Neighborhood, are important to watch as adults, because a lot of adults forget the lessons in them. We get so caught up in the stress that becomes our lives, we can forget to be kind and respectful to one another. We can forget how important simplicity is. And we can forget patience and understanding and humility. This show is a good reminder of those things, and I think all of us watching it will make our adult lives better.

Bluey is fantastic. Its a show that every age can understand and enjoy, because it presents a lot of things that babies, children, teens, and adults can relate and comprehend. There are honest and funny moments that make you laugh and appreciate, and presents mature or deep ones that go with such smooth presentation that someone can easily understand, and make them all relate to the viewer. The show is self-aware, intelligent, modern, and realistic but in the best way, teaching both kids and adults the greatness of life and family. And the best part, it never feels tiring, as each episode has some sort of lesson and entertains while doing it.

YO, THIS WAS A SOLID REVIEW This is actually my introduction to your channel, and all I can say is that I really like your style and editing skills. Keep it up! As someone who recently got into the show, I admit I went into it with very low expectations, and I can completely say that was for the best since I am blown away by nearly everything this show does! The writing, the comedy, the characters, the animation, and the score, it's all top-notch. And I think you did a very good job dissecting everything that makes the show great. Personally, a show I recommend that I think you will enjoy is Thomas & Friends. The general public calls it a dumb baby show on the surface but it actually has more depth to it than meets the eye (I'd only watch the first 5 seasons imo, But you're more the welcome to do more as it goes up to 24 and there's a bunch of movies in between). It may seem silly on the surface, but if you gave Bluey a chance and loved it, I guarantee the same will happen here. The episodes are only less than 5 minutes long, so you can easily finish one without losing interest. Just an idea. But regardless, great stuff!

Dude I’m 18 and literally LOVEE Bluey, like everyone else my socials were blown up with Bluey content and I became obsessed with the show💀 idk it’s cool to see a cartoon that’s set in the country I live in so it’s easy to relate to a lot of its themes. Though what I really like about it is that it’s a show about a functional and loving family which you don’t see in most media. It’s like a breath of fresh air ya know? It’s wholesome and sweet and able to fit in a lot of important themes in a kid friendly way, like dealing with loss, divorce, infertility etc. It’s all around just an amazing show with loving characters.

I'm a senior in high school and started watching Bluey for the first time and I absolutely adore it! This show always manages to make me smile and feel like a young kid again. I hope this show continues to grow and develop, but most importantly that it doesn't forget it's humble beginnings and how it became so popular.

Just inserting as an Aussie, that the sheer national relatableness is on a scale I never realised (mainly because...uh most of our shows aren't Bluey) -- and lots of that would get lost internationally, but the stuff that often you think is just an odd familial quirk is actually shared Aussie experiences, which, for Australians, can add an extra layer of appreciation.

Sometimes I watch this show with my little brothers and MAN, I have been so close to just breaking out in tears on several occasions. They are just like Bluey and Bingo too, it's adorable.

I’m an Australian and I really appreciate Bluey. I think that it’s honesty is phenomenal and, as you explained, it’s teaching both the kids and the adults about not only communicating with each other, but also being a good person. Being kind to other people and my absolute favourite aspect of the show - kids and adults using their imaginations during playtime. Kids sadly don’t use their imaginations as much as they used to die to electronic entertainment and games being so prevalent. It used to be that overwhelmed parents would turn on the television as a way to “occupy” them. This wasn’t ideal and was kind of frowned upon if used to excess, but also completely understandable in certain situations. But these days, screens and online entertainment is seen as normal, it’s become a part of regular life and adults that complain are called old fashioned or outbid touch. This has meant that kids don’t hang outside, running around and making up imaginary worlds with each other like the generations before did. I think that there needs to be a balance of both. And I feel sad that there will be kids, growing into young adults that have never spent hours outside playing and having amazing adventures in rich imaginary worlds. The only imaginary worlds they exposed to are the ones created by gaming companies - designed like poker machines in such a way as to keep them playing and playing.... and playing. We’re slowly starting to hear from some of these kids, now that they are young adults, and it’s not a great story that they have to share. Using your imagination is so important for health development in children. Try to find time to encourage this with your kids or grandkids, away from screens etcetera. Even if you just start reading a book with them like Alice in wonderland or Wind in the Willows. Read a chapter each time and talk about the characters and do the voices - ask your kid how they imagine the characters sound and live. ❤ It’s a wonderful memory to create with and for them. Trust me, they will always remember that time and that story that you shared. Bluey is ALL about imaginary play. It’s brilliant ❤

Fun fact: the show itself pays respect to an actual sheepdog named bluey, who lived from 1910 to 1930
@Kram1032
@Kram1032 Жыл бұрын
while that dog existed, afaik Bluey is actually named after one of the dogs Joe Brumm had at one point, another blue heeler with the same name as that historic one. Originally the main character was supposed to be another one of his dogs - Rusty - but he ultimately went with Bluey because he figured the blue color would make for a better, like, iconic/recognizable cartoon character in the context of a preschool show.

I binge watched every episode but it’s absolutely adorable. Chili and Bandit are just amazing parents. They have their flaws, but they do their best to teach their daughters from wrong to right. Sleepy Time is my most favorite cause it’s not just the beautiful music, it’s more of the meaning from Chili’s words at the end. I won’t lie, it made me tear up a bit. I will say that some characters are very aggravating to watch…Muffin…

All I have to do is play the extended theme song for Bluey, and the whole class just erupts in joy. Kindergarteners will start shouting, "Bluey!!" And dancing along. 5th graders will look up from their papers in amusement and say, "Yo, is that Bluey?!" It's really fun to watch their reactions.

My husband and I took our 5 year old daughter to see Bluey’s Big Play. Husband had similar reaction to you at first when he found out it was puppets and not costumes. Then he spent most of the show trying to watch it around our 5 year old. It does look better in person and while it is pricey I think it was worth it. It was like watching an extended episode. Original story that ties in to the 3rd season whilst sprinkling in some familiar bits from other episodes. Without spoiling the entire plot and just exposing the theme it’s about Bluey being a good big sister to Bingo with some encouragement from her mum who speaks from personal experience. Watching the play and then season 3’s Onesies is the best way to watch.

bluey is such an amazing show though! it’s entertaining and silly for all ages, since the show references adult jokes as well as more understandable children’s jokes, but it also tackles some important subjects such as infertility, responsibility, etc. another thing i find very important is the parents are able to be fun without getting walked on, and the children aren’t looked down on by the parents for simple things such as making a small mess or saying something that may not have been the nicest thing in the world. australia, you get a gold star ⭐️ good job 👏

Pretzel only had voice lines in one episode, I believe “Calypso”. The one where Calypso, the schoolteacher, checks on all the kids in school periodically and they’re doing silly things, like running a Fish and Chips shop and the Terriers building a fort. Pretzel is grumpy and doesn’t want to play, and by the end he’s chilling on his rug pretending to fish
