Tbh I think the shinjiro link saving him winds up being one of the best additions and keeps the emotional impact. She winds up saving his life indirectly, then she winds up dying where there's nothing he's able to do to save her. Like a reversal of fate. It also allows his character to be fleshed out a lot more since his interactions are minor otherwise.

I like how his surviving is exclusive to her route. Due to her more outgoing personality she’s able to get close enough to him to gift him the watch that saves his life while makoto is too introverted to get close

@@tyomega9939 His events are based around his group dynamic, on how his relationship is like with other people outside MC. You get to try to reapply him to school while he obviously is already planning to die soon. Mitsuru will tell you more about how old SEES were with Shinjiro around, you even get to see him in Gekkou uniform. The same applies to all the other guys link episodes: you get to actually learn about what kind of people the dudes are, and especially Ken's is a direct upgrade since you get to learn how his mentality was before October, after, and during preparation for Nyx, instead of... Creepy descriptions of how he eats in Portable. In general you get to learn more about them as people, instead of relationships being based purely on (usually romantic) interactions with MC. Really, I didn't learn shit about Shinjiro, Akihiko, or Ken from Portable, what I did learn is how it would feel to be in a relationship with them, something that I'm not really interested in. Hell, even female links in FES were more than just dating, unlike this. TL;DR You learn more about the characters themselves instead of learning about how it would feel to date them.

My fingers are crossed to get FeMC in a future expansion of Reload. It'd be a Day 1 purchase for me and as a woman who grew up in a time where female protags were rare, she is very important to me (also I miss Saori and Rio immensely lol). Also hoping we get a FeMC for Persona 6 too. It'd be a nice change of pace like P3P and P2 EP were.

One thing I didn't realise was the in the FemC version of Mitsuru's SL, Mitsuru expresses resentment of her womanhood given her circumstances, where as in the male route, she just romance baits you instead. (SL5-->6)

The remake actually adds a lot of content from the female route, so even though the FeMC isn't playable it's as close to definitive as we're getting. You can befriend Shinji, hang out with Jumpei more, and Koromaru gets several of his social link scenes added to his interactions. Unfortunately Rio and Saori were not included, which is a major missed opportunity for male MC.

Even though I abhor the practice. I hope they add in "The Answer" and the "FemC route" as additional DLC's later on to make Persona 3 Reload the defacto definitive edition to play.

@@CatzZz4 I feel like the odds are pretty good that we'll get the Answer as DLC since it's a canonical continuation of the story and has important character development attached to it that persists into future games, i'd like to think we could also get the FemC route as well but they might omit that just for the sake of keeping Persona 3 portable relevant unfortunately, especially since it just had a console release recently. It'd be really nice to be able to experience it in a non-visual novel form.

I dropped out of school and played Persona 3. It was pretty good. I was terrified. I had never been so scared in all of my life. To my relief, the thing on my back wasn't a large tumor that I hadn't noticed -- it was a blister from sitting down too long. The ending, however, didn't bother me. That embarrassing cancer scare made me curious. I often wondered why I was never afraid of death. The real question was why I didn't know that I feared death. It took a long time for me to figure that out.

What happens with Chidori is that when you encourage Jumpei to visit her, she heals the flowers around her with her power because she wants them pretty for Jumpei (I guess). If you do it enough times (that is, every time you have the option to encourage Jumpei), the power she gave to the flowers returns to her and revives. It is still a pretty Deus Ex Machina situation though it didn't come out of nowhere xD
