i pray for the day they change vlad to a character whose entire set of voicelines isn't literally just blood puns

I'd like to talk a bit about Vladmir's character design: His clothes surely makes him look like a vampire, but more than that, they make him look like a real aristocrat, what the lore said he was, but as you said he needs to show more of Noxus itself trough his clothes, so I think his clothes should be the representation of Noxus aristocracy, just like Swain's clothes represent Noxus military group

I want Riot to turn his knives for hands into just acrylic nails.

If Riot were to change anything about Vlad's character and design, then I have two rough suggestions. 1. Voice. He doesn't have a single line that isn't a blood pun, and that doesn't really work for his new conceptualization. New Vlad is supposed to be a wickedly cultured, manipulative, egotist who has a rather "been there done that" view of the world. Someone like that should have a more refined, if not regal, and somewhat cruel way of speaking that just screams "evil aristocrat", not just endless puns. 2. Regarding his design. I think that, yes, his hair should be de-onion-ed, and his knife hands should be toned down, perhaps they can become more like armor rings but a bit more pronounced so that they can still be seen in game. I think his massive coat still works for this new lore for Vlad with him just swimming in this ornate and luxurious coat that shows off wealth and status. I would add some additional designs or patterns or something to it so that it looks particularly ostentatious. However the knives on it, particularly the ones on his back, may need to be toned down or removed altogether. I specify the ones on his back because we have another Noxian rocking the badass jacket with the metal bits on the back, Swain. With Swain, his pointy looking additions to his coat are there to create a visual connection to ravens and they also somewhat fit in with the aesthetics of Noxian military. With Vlad, they're just there because "Hey, did I mention I like blood and killing?" The ones on his sleeves I thinks can be reduced in size and be made into decorative tassels that dangle from the sleeves on small rings instead of being stiffly sewn onto the sleeves. That way he still has noticeable sharp things on his jacket that look more decorative and fashionable but still a bit threatening, and less like a really silly way of making it clear that "he like likes blood."

Another interesting idea about his outfit: Why not just make his coat out of floating blood? It shows his flamboyance and extreme expertise with hemomancy, it gives room for some really cool animations during his spells, and it would really fit an artist to make a part of his clothes himself with his specific craft. I have to admit though that there already is a character in fiction who does that. In the manga Shaman King, a descendant of Count Vlad Teppes Dracula appears and uses blood as the medium for his shaman powers in form of a cape that can change form to things like solid red spikes or claw-like long structures that suck blood from those they pierce. He actually pretends to be a vampire (even bites someone and controls him from within by controling his blood) at first but quickly shows that he is just an ordinary human with a very creative way of using his power as a shaman.

Onion hair is an indicates of extreme magical power... Evelynn prime example...

That's two notes! 10:10: That sounds interesting, and could be one of the few non-cliche takes on "Immortality ain't all it's cracked up to be" in existence if they take it in that direction. 15:20: Another useful consequence of making Vladmir a blood mage is that they don't need to debug an animation where Vlad pounces on champions of all shapes and sizes and suck blood out of their neck-equivalent. 19:00: Maybe replace the elegant, bright red flowing Seto Kaiba coat with a practical, drab red flowing military coat? Oh, and replace the ridiculous hairdo with a slightly-less-ridiculous Noxian-style helmet. 21:15: Let me guess, half of the character design is wasted on showing how sexy she is.

I know you probably don't like this answer, but he has knife hands for the sake of looking cool, even though they don't make sense, i like them just because they look cool and i think his design would be less interesting without them, i think sometimes details don't have to have a reason other than looking cool. Off with the Onion head tho, they fixed it in the splash art, so why not in the damn model?? And another thing, i hate when characters don't have pupils just for the fuck of it, characters without visible pupils just dont feel alive to me, i i really think its stupid that its such an common design characteristic.

I honestly love Vladamir as a character, but his current design kinda makes him look like one of those edgy OCs you'd make as a kid with way too many unnecessary details. (Also yes I'm speaking from experience. Pre-teen Niffry had some interesting ideas about what was cool.)

Yay, everyone's favorite onion vampire. :B Not only is he a vampire, he's Capcom's vampire. And by that I mean that he's the twice-boomeranged vision of what a vampire is, bounced directly from the Japan-colored-crack-vision-glasses, which itself was bounced from early monster movie pulp cinema, which is of course bounced from the old novels. This is probably the only reason I actually like Vladmir's design; it's like a messed up art-version of Telephone. I could watch cultures mimic each others tropes until the end of time and be eternally happy. :P Announcements are cool. -This vid, btw? No notification. Not for me anyway.
