Here’s my two cents: Thickening foam makes your hair seem more full, but it’s for people who have thinning hair. Volume, has similarities to thickening foam, however if you have very little hair, you should use the thickening foam instead.

One adds a layer of thickness to the individual strands of hair, the other makes the hairs separate and hold its shape better.
