People get too legalistic about it. We are to pray to the Father through the Son by the Spirit, but we are also called to have a childlike devotion and love for God. I think that includes just openly speaking to all members of the trinity, whom are all equally God. I have no reason to think God won’t hear you or will punish you for praying to His Spirit, or His Son when appropriate.
