The Aeropress I got about 18 months ago is my daily driver. With frequent Moka Pot and a little Turkish on the side.

Aeropress looks muddy in the cup but I often get the best cup, sweet and flavourful.

I love the Aeropress and have the Clear from 2009. I am presently enjoying the Ceado Hoop Flat Bottom dripper. I am using the Able filter from the Aeropress in the Hoop. It is an "Automated" dripper. Bloom, fill and let it do the brewing.

You don’t even need to stir it. I give mine a little swirl and the grounds will sink.

I haven't figured out how to make great coffee with my AeroPress. I even tried the inverted method but I get richer, more flavorful coffee from my Clever Coffee Dripper.

Steep it longer - maybe 4-5 minutes in the AeroPress before plunging? 🤔

@@AlternativeBrewing Thanks, I tried that - 25 grams of beans, #10 grind setting on my Baratza Virtuoso, 195º F Third Wave Water, inverted method, 30 second bloom, then fill about 3/8” from the top, stir, place the filter cap with wetted paper filter on top to retain heat, then stir again at 2 minutes, then again at 3 minutes, then slowly press at 4 minutes 30 seconds total. It takes around 50 seconds to press out the coffee. Then I'll add enough hot TWW to make a mug of coffee. With my Clever, I also use 25 grams of beans, #10 grind setting on my Baratza Virtuoso, and 195º F Third Wave Water. But first I rinse the Filtropa paper filter in the Clever Coffee Dripper with 195º F distilled water and release it in a mug that’s sitting in the sink. Then I fill the CCD with 375 grams of Third Wave Water, then dump the ground beans into the CCD and stir, place the lid on and wait 1 minute 45 seconds and stir again, stir again at 3 minutes, empty my mug and place the CCD on it at 4 minutes. I watched a KZfaq video that claimed that pouring in the water first resulted in smoother less bitter tasting coffee so I tried it and it worked. I’m thinking of getting a Hario NXAR-5 Coffee Siphon. Even though I like the results produced by the Clever, I don’t like the potential health hazards from the plastic. And I’ve heard that the siphon method produces similar rich full-bodied results. I usually only drink 1 cup a day so I don’t think the process will be too much trouble. In fact, it looks kind of fun. I looked through your videos and I’m surprised you haven’t reviewed the CCD or a siphon coffee maker yet. But I understand there’s an almost endless number of products out there.

I can't settle your fears, but I can tell you that the polypropylene that modern aero presses are made of has a glass transition temperature almost twice that of boiling water. So while boiling water is hot and damaging from a human perspective, to the material properties of polypropylene, it's not significantly different from room temperature. I can also tell you that it's much harder to work with (read: more expensive to manufacture) than the polycarbonate aero presses used to be made of, so there must have been some incentive to switch to it.

It may seem like a joke to some but its quite a common practice for roasters, baristas, and q-graders to chew roasted coffee on their mouth. At least that’s what I’ve observed in our local coffee scene.

I don't really drink coffee. I drink candy in a cup but... 15g 200 ml inverted method pressed over ice very sugary non dairy creamer unless I don't mind using the bathroom 4x that night, then sugar and cream.
