DISCLAIMER: Alloy & 2-piece Hybrid USSSA bats will just about always fall short to Composite USSSA bats (i.e. CF, Meta, Cat9 Comp) in a head-to-head exit velo showdown. The benefit of Alloy USSSA bats is that they are going to be much cheaper and much more durable than their composite USSSA counterparts. A lot of USSSA players end up getting 1 of each: a Composite USSSA bat for the majority of their games, and an Alloy USSSA bat for practices and cold-weather games.

My son and I really enjoy your videos. Picked up a Cat 9 Composite -5 back in March for his new bat. Replacing a Prime 919 (great bat). He really likes the Cat 9 composite, barrel is massive and ball explodes off of it. Feels like it has a very slight end load to it but, not enough to call it end loaded. Really great bat, and it is nice that your video's and testing have backed up what he has said and feels when he hits. Thanks for the videos and keep up the great work

After watching this, and knowing I was on a budget, I got my 12u son a -8 true t1x… he was batting well with it including his first over the fence home run. The bad news is after 2 months he got jammed a few times and the bat is now broken where their “fuse technology “ is supposed to join handle to barrel. Actually was able to pull them apart and thankfully get a warranty replacement from True. We loved the bat while it lasted.

When I was in Little League (2008ish) Techzilla skinny barrels were all the rage. They’d dent after literally 15 swings but they were SO hot. Everyone on my team swung either that or the Stealth Speed.

All my kiddos at the facility swing either the Victus or the Cat 9 connect. A few with the goods but mainly the big boys that can control the end load it has.

I swing a 31/26 and I have swung the cat8, cat9 connect, and Victus nox and the Nox seemed to be the lightest followed by the cat9 connect and the the cat8. For 31/26 the cat8 is noticeably more endloaded than the nox which I would compare the swing weight of to the meta.

I'm amazed Anderson bats are still around, glad it's gotten a little better. I bought one off of amazon like 4 or 5 years ago but it was a BBCOR 33/30 and felt like an absolute turd to swing. Only used it in one game and now it sits in the garage

I'm very interested in your comparison of an alloy or composite USSSA bat to the old late 90s bat like the Air Attack or Z2k/c-core. USSSA has bpf rating of 1.15. This rating was created in '95 as a way to mediate bat performance. No company abided by this and bats just got hotter until USC took the W against ASU in the CWS 21-14. Then Baum and Easton had a lawsuit fling, Mackay blew the whistle on Louisville and Easton, Sherwood lost his marbles, and thus BESR was born. So it's very likely that pre-BESR bats are hotter than USSSA bats

@Baseball Bat Bros my son he's 12 going on 13 currently swings the Blue Power MOAB it's a BBCOR it's a 31 drop 3 of course but he is going to be playing travel ball next season and have to move to a USSSA bat I'm looking at the Cat 8 should I get him the 31 or 32 in the drop 5 he's more then likely only going to be using it for 1 season thanks for your feed back keep up the work and videos we like watching the dingers and content you provide for us.

I’ve said this a couple months ago but I highly recommend you swing the (bright green CF8) it’s actually unbelievable! It’s almost impossible to get your hands on one because of reviews on performance. YOU WONT EVEN THINK ABOUT THE GREEN ZEN AFTER YOU SWING THE BRIGHT GREEN CF8! But it has to be the ‘bright green CF8’.

I've used the warstic bonesaber 31/23 -8 and it does not have any ring on the hands in my experience and the ball jumps off the bat like a trampoline.

I work at a sporting goods store and I tell customers that the Cat8 is an enigma... the bat doesn't make sense. ITS SO GOOD

And with the price it’s a no-brainer. We had CFs and Composite Cat 9s all over our team last season. By the end of the year half the kids were using my son’s Posey one-piece alloy, which is a Cat 8. They’re getting harder and harder to find, but just picked up the 31/26 for 13u next season. And that sound is just glorious!

Yeah metal bats are always amazing when you hit the ball practiced and used a metal bat and hit a baseball and it went over the fricken trees in my backyard was insane although the metal hat I bought was from academy and wasn’t expensive so who knows.

What is your favorite, most balanced demarini u trip one piece alloy? my son did very very well with the 5150.... Great video!! Just forgot the cheap one that reps won't make much money on.. im surprised you didn't get one considering it seemed like u liked the bbcor model last year. Please do a UTrip 5150 video against your favorite one piece alloy. I think you will be very very shocked.. little feedback on hands also, and the sound is soooo sweeet

Can only use these bats for basic one season -13u. In 12u you can go drop 10. In 14u + it’s BBCor.

@15:49 he says not to worry about tiny dents. I thought any dents on alloy bats was bad and would negatively affect bat performance. Can someone clarify this? Thx

Like dents that you can literally barely feel. As slight as the edges of the decals on the bat
