With specific move pokemon. It'd be funny if pokemon made it so they keep asking to learn ancient power each level up as a subtle way to say "this move will be important" for some younger fans or people that don't know how this evo system works. Not the worst compared to some evo requirements in later games

I kind of like the form of evolution for Pokémon like Leafeon, Glaceon, Magnazone, and Probopass.

Level up by friendship is my favorite. If you catch the pokemon and spend a pittle time running around you can get a lucario at level 2 or 6 early game. Just make all the moves port over to the evolution versions since pokemon loves to lock them out. Worst the trade evos. You can literally not get them and worse pokemon puts the evos on the wild anyways. If it was trade at any level or level 50 to get the pokemon it would be cool. The trade would help people want to get the pokemon early but the high level would be for people who don't want to go through this. Rven pokemon makes fun of this with the haunter trade

I mean the basic level up, Friendship, Held items, Specific Moves known to evolve and the evolution stones are great methods but certain abilities and times (Dusk form lycanroc’s evolution requirements) shouldn’t be a thing. However things like Trade evolutions should have an alternative way to evolve using either the Specific move known method or the Held item method (except level cap instead of trade) would be excellent replacements for Trade Evolutions
