Today we are talking all about different #HairTypes! Everyone’s hair is SO different, so it’s very important to identify what type you have, so you know which products to use to help make your hair the healthiest looking it can be! Which Hairitage product are you MOST excited about?? ✨
✅ Follow Hairitage on instagram HERE: / hairitagebymindy (@hairitagebymindy)
✅ Keep up with the Hairitage website for launch dates and updates HERE: hairitagebymindy.com/
As you guys probably already know, I am launching my own hair product line #Hairitage this January 2020 in Walmart! I’m so excited to finally release these products that I have been working tirelessly on for over a year now. One of the biggest questions I’ve been receiving from you guys is: Which products should I use on my hair, and why?
This is a BIG question for me to answer, because everyone’s hair is SO different! In today’s video, I’m going into detail about the 4 different HAIR TYPES, in hopes of helping you gain a better understanding of your own hair. This, in turn, will better explain which Hairitage products I would recommend, specifically for you!
It all boils down to how your #hair grows out of your head, and the pattern that the shape of the hair takes… I know it sounds complicated, but I promise after this video it will make more sense! There are 4 main hair types, with subcategories (as you get more specific): 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4A, 4B, 4C. To put it VERY simply, this chart refers to your hair in its natural state, meaning without any styling.
Type 1A is extremely straight, with no wave naturally at all, while a type 4C it the tightest, coily curls that you can have!
My absolute favorite aspect of my hair product line is that you will be able to find amazing products for your hair, no matter what hair type or texture you have! It’s always been my dream to create a line where people can find all of their hair needs in one place on the shelf, for an affordable price. I’m so proud to say that I have done that with Hairitage, and now I’m just so stinkin’ excited for you guys to try it!
* Many factors can change the color and texture of hair throughout your lifetime, including: stress, chemical hair treatments (relaxers / perms), heat styling, genetics, aging, medical conditions, puberty, illness, and pregnancy!

@Anaita Naskar We always want what we don't have. When I was younger and didn't know how to care for my wavy hair it was always just fizzy and mostly straight from being brushed. I used to wear curlers to bed not knowing that I actually didn't need them. Then I got older and realized I did have wavy hair but I straightened it all the time. Now I've embraced my natural texture and have even gotten some curls in with the waves.

It’s so frustrating walking into the store and have a whole aisle with hair products then having a tiny shelve for “natural ethic” hair. Most of the time I have to go to either certain stores or order online just to find 4c products. Thank you for creating this line. I’m definitely going to try it out and see where it takes me.

Ignore the marketing hype of types of products for types of hair. The truth is, it doesn't matter what you use, it matters how you use it. ( how often, how much and in which order) With the exception of styling tools like combs, almost anything can work on anybody. If it's shampoo and conditioner, then they should work for all types. It's a matter of application habits.
@BreezyMama000
@BreezyMama000 4 жыл бұрын
@@politereminder6284 That is completely incorrect. The products you should be for your specific hair type and porosity. There are products that will damage someone's hair if it is not for them. One example is sulfates, for 3 to 4 type hair which is why we don't use shampoos with that ingredient. Another is protein treatments. My dumbass used that because I thought it would help my hair but come to find out, I'm low porosity.🤦🏿‍♀️ I had protein overload and fucked my hair all the way up.😭😭 It was not a good day!

I love how she doesn't bother to mention how race plays influences hair type, and I mean this in a positive way because so many people assume if you're this color / race then you _must_ have x hair type and if you don't, it must be weave or hair extensions. Subscribed!

My Latino dad had 4a hair growing up, it's loosened quite a bit with age and he keeps it short now. My German white mom has 3b hair. My brother has type 1 pin straight hair, and I have 2c waves. Getting hair products is a mess because there are still so many places that use the word "Ethnic" on the shelves for curly products and I even got into a conversation with a hairstylist who kept using that word to describe curls. Even products that my hair does really well with use phrasing that doesn't match my hair type but works really well with my hair. For example, people get really surprised when I pick up the Kinky Curly line and the Mielle Pomegranate and Honey line says on the bottle "For Type 4 Hair" but my hair loves their leave-in.

Hey, coming from someone who spent years wondering the same thing, I think it’s possible you have curly hair! Sounds crazy but after doing a lot of research and finding curl friendly shampoos etc, my curls started to show and my hair became so much more manageable and way less frizzy. Of course, you might not have curly hair but there could be many reasons it’s frizzy - such as just naturally dry hair, in which case I recommend looking into leave in / deep conditioners. Sorry for the ramble, and good luck!

What is the curly girl method
@ladylady2325
@ladylady2325 4 жыл бұрын
Kirsten Adams it‘s about how to take care of natural curls and waves, it includes avoiding certain ingredients and harsh heat styling. There is a lot of good websites about it☺️ it can only enhance your natural curl pattern though, you won‘t be able to make your hair curly if it is naturally straight

Thank you so much for doing this video!! Not long ago I commented asking if you would do a video about this. Everything I was reading on the internet was just confusing me. You just made it all make sense. I also love the charts as that was very helpful in determining the type. Can't wait to try the Hairitage Products come January!!

My hair is super thick and won’t even let it be wavy, it won’t curl or wave to save my life. My mom will try to curl it to make a wave but as soon as she gets to the other side it is dead straight again. The only thing that happens with my hair is knots no curls at waves. Buns are hard because it likes to come undone

Most of the time, but looks really greasy if I don’t towel dry, blow dry all the way and flat iron. It takes forever to wash so dry shampoo is my best friend.

Thank you for running through this list. I will have to go through this again with pen and paper to figure out what might be the best for my 7 year old daughter's caucasian brittle thin curly hair. I put her in the 3's more B & C. Her hair breakage is a huge concern for us.

My hair is straight straight, but my two year old daughter has a range from 2c to 3b. It’s been a huge learning curve for me because my hair is so low/no maintenance. It was a daily battle at first when I was just trying to use water and a comb. Then I discovered argan oil leave in and that was a game changer but seemed to dry out her hair. Then someone showed me a leave in conditioner for curly hair and WOW!! It’s so much easier, her hair doesn’t feel as brittle and her little ringlettes look amazing!! Love watching videos like this so I can keep learning more ways to work with her hair.
