They used a professional recording device obviously, others choirs failed to do so and ruined their sound. Great performance, great audio quality!

Yeah, I personally know the conductor and the school responsible for these amazing performances, they are extremely legit. Professional sound, stage, audio, etc. It's really rare for a high school to have such great resources available to them. This was an amazing piece, but my personal favorite of this particular group of singers is Loch Lomond: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLNngKqiksWqaWw.html - I was fortunate enough to be able to see this in person and it was honestly breathtaking!

Yeah it allows you to take your time on it. I imagine a bunch of young men, much like the people in this video, working on an old ship as some once did, in the middle of a dark cold sea
