The Los Angeles Lakers fall 0-3 after losing to the Portland Trail Blazers with a final score of 106-104. With under 30 seconds remaining, Russell Westbrook attempted a 2-for-1 mid-jumper, but missed. This led to a go-ahead layup by Jerami Grant. After the game, LeBron James reacted to the shot, saying quote: 'I want to do what I've said over and over and it's not who I am,' which refers to defending Russ. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes discuss what the Lakers should do with Russ moving forward.

Vogel was not a great coach at all. The bubble chip was because the team was actually constructed decently and AD was able to stay healthy due to the amount of time off during the season.

He's not the same player he was two years ago, but he's definitely playing hard both offensively and defensively so far. I can't fault him much. It's hard to grab offensive rebounds when your team is shooting long ball. Guards are more likely to grab those than centers or power forwards. The game is no longer played inside like it used to be.

I think the lakers will have a better record with Lebron gone and Russ leading the team. Lebron is focused on beating Kareem’s record and isn’t interested in the team’s success. Putting all the blame on Russ is not fair.

I feel like not shooting the 3 it's like a guy trying to bunt against the shift in baseball. In today's game once analytics tells you it's a horrible idea then players just don't even think about doing these things. Makes no sense to me because at the end of the day most analytics it's a league concept not a team by team concepts. Long two it's the worst shot of the game but it cannot be worse than having no shooters but continue to take 3s.

If the Lakers think they are going to play soon to be 38-year old LeBron 38 mins/night, ask him to play defense and carry this team offensively, they are freaking delusional. An injury is coming soon if they keep doing this and they will keep losing games because he's not being rested enough to be effective in the 4th quarter. They should have gone to AD for the remaining 3 mins of the 4th quarter and the ball should be in LeBron's hand or Reeves if LeBron is trying to post.

Facts: other than the bubble (which looks fraudulent as the season pass) the lakers have not done anything. The claims ppl make about how Lebron cake walked through the East is true. 1st year didn’t make the playoffs. 3rd year got bounced. 4th year made the play inn and got bounced. This year??? Russ wasn’t part of those other 3 seasons.

Have faith and wait till 15 or 20 games. Who daheck judges after just 3 games? This is a stupid amount of mental pressure for such a small pool size. Game 1 was bad. But its against the hot shooting warriors. What do you expect? Game 2 was a close game. They actually came back. Westbrook shot terrible but he had some great defensive plays. Game 3 was an even closer game. Yes westbrook made a terrible shot choice at the end but it was a close game. Defensively it was great.

WB played a good game overall..media wants to key in on 1 shot. they were still ahead till DL hit the 3 in LBJ face...then LBJ came down and shot a fall away jumper instead of powereing to basket... but thats RW fault...they say it's AD's team yet LBJ ran to the free throw line and clanked the free throw...LBJ is the real problem, happens everywhere he's been.
