Here I explain what size surface cleaner you can use withe your pressure washer. It depends on your size of pressure washer. You can have a surface of 4" per 1 gallon per minute pump.
So for example 4 GPM = 16" Surface cleaner

This guy knows his shit! I’ve had a 3.7gpm and a 20 inch surface cleaner for years. I’m a painter, so pressure washing is a part time deal. I watched this vid, and it was time to get a new machine. I went with a 4.0gpm and got a 16 inch whisper wash classic. Awesome results! Thank you for a very informative vid!!!

This was super informative! I almost bought a surface cleaner that was way too big for the power of my electric pressure washer: 1.76gpm MAX. You saved me a huge headache and a return to Amazon.

I know some guys with the 20 inch surface cleaner and a 4 gallon a minute pump and it works fine, You have to tune the surface clean to your pump.They change their spray nozzles…

Can you help me? I bought a very nice and expensive BE 20” with castors but machine is only rated at 4200/4.0. Should I just buy a 16” or is the 20” usable? I don’t want to spend money if the 20” will work but at the same time I don’t know how big of a performance difference there is between a 20” and 16”. Thinking about getting a cheap wand attachment style 16”with castors at Lowe’s for $150 instead of buying a BE 16” without castors for $340.

Awesome as usual Thoughts on 2500 psi 5.6 gpm primarily for residential flat work. I'm upgrading from 3100 psi 2.9 gpm. For residential will 2500 psi be ok

My pressure washer is 4gpm 4400 psi. My surface cleaner is rated for 3,000-4,000 psi and up to 8gpm. Is this okay or will the extra 400 psi mess up my surface cleaner?

I have a simpson powershot putting out 4400 psi at 4 gpm and a mi-t-m 20" surface cleaner. I took them in to Seattle Pump. They said that the pump would have no problem at all running that surface cleaner. With the surface cleaner jetted to 4 gpm down from 5 gpm as it came from the factory? I'm not saying that you are wrong just learning one day at a time.

It will work you just be moving slow to get it cleaned without tiger stripes

I totally agree with you Jason. Biggest to use with a 4 gpm should be a 16”. Of course someone not knowing what they are talking about will tell you anything you want to hear. They’re not cleaning concrete, they are repairing machines.

Try tips 25030 on each nozzle will give you a flow rate of 6gpm you should be rocking to full maximum efficiency then.the psi doesn't matter all that matters is that the full flow rate per gallon can get through

Jason, I am going to argue here. I have a 5.5 gpm machine and for a long time I had the 2 nozzle bar. I went to the 4 nozzle bar and it cleaned better and cleaned a little bit faster. So a 4 bar isn't just good for an 8 gpm.

Actually I just put a four tip bar surface Cleaner on our 5.5 GPM and it did work it was a little bit slower but it did work

Power Washing mine seemed to clean better and a tad bit quicker. Nothing to brag about tho. But it did seem to clean a lot better. I also changed my tips to half of what was in the 2 bar.

Yeah I’ll make sure your tips are the right size. If you need to change your Tips out every so often because they will wear out eventually

I can't justify the expense of a 16" cleaner for the amount of times I use it. I have a 4gpm machine. If I use a 12" surface cleaner does that mean I should move pretty quick, if I can keep the damn thing on the ground.

Honestly if it is just running into the sewer systems you'll more than likely be fine. If it runs into storm water drains you are running a risk.

👎I show the information here to be totally whack. 👎 My 3300psi/2.4gpm is rated per these various companies at 15”+ inches on a surface cleaner. By your calculations of 4 inches/gpm I should be looking for a 9.6 inch cleaner. Dude, there’s not even one that small. And the 10” one I did find is for 3000psi/1.7gpm. Why are your numbers so off?
