Brad Gerlach was one of the first surfers i really got into the science he would drop on me about surfing, boards, angling, the way he broke it all down. Was stoked in the early 2000’s to surf around Leucadia and Ponto. Definitely one of my long time inspirations. Was out at Ponto one morning when Xanadu was out there with his team catching waves and coming back to give him feedback on the shapes and details of the rails, rocker, tails, noses, fins, and foils. Was cool to see them at work. Some nice fast lefts back in those days.

I met Brad in the water recently. Super cool guy.
