After seeing how the Buffalo Bills constructed their offense this offseason, from the wide receivers to the offensive line, I believe that we are in the process of seeing a philosophical shift in how the Bills attack opposing defenses. Kevin Massare and I broke it down this week on Going Deep Buffalo.
UPDATE: The Bills have just signed WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a one-year deal, the team announced. Getting a field stretcher like MVS is the perfect fit based on how I think the Bills want to run their offense.

Bang on! More running game makes it more difficult for defences. Also better opportunity for Josh's cannon. Looking forward to a better balanced season.

This season is going to be fun to watch. I think the Bills are making the counter move to defenses that have countered high-flying offences with smaller faster linebackers. The WR room is now bigger than a lot of LB rooms across the league. I forget what game it was last year but Josh was facing a middle linebacker that was 205lbs. That's a far cry from the Brian Urlacher and Ray Lewis era!

Regardless of personnel, the Bills will have five guys on the field who can run block and catch. Six if you count Allen.

I really liked what the Bills did on their winning streak after the bye. James Cook, Ray Davis and the offensive line are the keys to keeping the pressure off Josh Allen to play Superman each and every snap. With balance, this offense could and should be a handful. Kincaid is about as good as a receiver the Bills have so I fully expect his emergence because he has developed that chemistry with Josh. Samuel and Coleman will need to earn Josh’s trust. Shakir stepped up when Diggs and Davis disappeared. Says a lot about him.
