The guy that created the leg lamp lived in Chickasha. He was a professor at OU. His original leg lamp is on display just down the street at the Grady County Historical Society.

That giant leg lamp is awesome

They have a place where you can buy merch of the lamp. You should see that lamp at night in all its glowing sex. The Christmas time celebrations in that town during November and December is unbelivable one the best in the nation. It's called the Festival of Light. The Leg Lamp was inspired from a lamp a OU college Proffesor had made for his office. Some of the production crew who went to OU and had that proffesor. They asked if he can use his idea of the lamp as prop in the movie . The rest was Pop Culture history.

That town has a leg up on the Christmas decorations contest for sure!
