This is a big reason why I say a Second Civil War is only possible after the US gets its shit kicked in by Russia and China in World War 3. People don't really realize how sugar coated the American Government really is. It has WAY too much power than it should have, and realistically it could silence anyone it wanted to and turn into a dystopian state real fast. I mean, look at Jan 6, the Facts about it are still being wrangled and wrestled from the eyes of the people. I mean, the Capital guards let the protesters in, and showed them where everything was. And yet, the news (Which are corrupted and greedy, and aligned with the government in most cases), still won't cover that. And about the Military thing. The Majority of your frontline soldiers are conservatives. I don't think they'd be willing to fight and torch their own people, so the majority of them would either leave, and return home to protect their family, or leave and join a militia or state military. And those who remained. It just depends if they see a corrupt government as America, or the actual people as America. At that point, it's pretty easy to chose which you want to fight for.
