Sorry about the Vol pronunciation! I'm just saying it how I hear it on TV but my NY accent might be messing it up lol. But thank you for all the support on this video it truly does mean a lot, as a ton of work went into it! Appreciate you all!!!!

Awesome video! Thank you! 😁 Here in Knoxville, TN, hometown of the Vols, Joshua is revered. He's such a hard working and humble kid, and he really made a difference when he was here, both on and off the field. I'm so happy for his success, it couldn't come to a better person!

thanks for the apology - I pulled out half my hair before I saw the apology..... try pronouncing it as "Vawl" instead of "Voul" - your pronunciation is how you say the rodent - remember that Vol is short for volunteer (due to the high rate of Tennessee citizens volunteering to serve in the US military)

4.0 as an athlete, and in a field like Aeronautical Engineering, and earning the Torch Bearer award. Quite impressive. Not to mention how fast he is learning with the Vikings. Dude is extremely sharp. Now I see why they call him the Passtronaut, because of his degree and being a part of SpaceX. Awesome.

And the thing is he doesn't have to be a super star and play at Mahomes like level week in, week out for the Vikes to have a legit chance to make and thrive in the playoffs. You have to remember that the head coach and play caller is also an NFL QB who also never got his shot and he has an above avg OL and skill players that are the envy. You could make the same case for J. Hurst, Tua, Purdy, , Goff, Dak and a few others.

We may not think he’s a franchise QB, but we don’t really know yet because like your video explained, he’s really never gotten a fair shake. He’s got height, 4.4 speed, physical skills and the best brain in the league with some of the best skill players around him? The Vikings might have struck gold. I think he will easily get a nice contract and a steady backup low starter role at worst next year and it’s only been two games. He actually has a shot to do something insanely special with MN this year. If he’s a lot better than advertised, with their offense and vastly better defense, they might not just make the playoffs, they may do serious dmg….

I wonder how much his interests outside of football hampered his production on the field . To take on an engineering degree the way he has ( 4.0 grade) and internship at NASA can't allow for dedication to football. Maybe now he's fully dedicated to the NFL and it's showing? I disagree and think he can be a franchise quarterback. Yeah he's been a backup, but at the same time he's still in the league which alot of NFL hopeful QBs can't say the same.

I don't think people have realized how pivotal all of this is. Anyone think he wouldn't have won Every Game with that Browns defense or at least made them close? Now the Browns' #1 QB is out for the season. He couldn't win with Arizona. But now that just shows Kyler Murray doubters that they should stfu. Dobbs may only be high mid as a QB. But in a season where we only have a couple of really high QBs not injured & a bunch of under-performing ones, this stands out. Would you rather have him or Derek Carr? To me he's also something Extremely Important to the Vikings: the anti-Kirk Cousins. Cousins puts up great counting stats & loses games he shouldn't. (The Ultimate Minnesota Viking in many, many ways). Dobbs wins games people don't think he could. He's doing more with less. Can't wait to see what happens when Jefferson returns & he has the opportunity to do more with more.

You did a great job with this video. Really liked the clips & the music. A lot of them I hadn't seen. I'm wired to be a fact checker & I've been following Dobbs for quite a few years. You made a couple subtle errors that stood out to me but I'm sure no one else noticed. Other than that any encouraging positive videos about Dobbs is appreciated. Most people wouldn't believe the amount of negativity endured while he was at AZ. It was weird. Came to the conclusion that people have "Oklahoma Syndrome". Yes, I made that up. Fans have it with Mayfield too. They're the fans that perceive their guy like Murray & Mayfield to be untouchable. Probably will happen with Hurts too. Players are made into an idol. Maybe fans thought Dobbs was a a threat to their guy Murray but the dislike was unwarranted. I'd never seen anything like it anywhere. It continued even after the Dallas win. Near the day of his trade, he was being blamed for everything & I mean everything. This came from fans & professional AZ media. I was so thankful he left AZ. I was so thankful he left the Browns. His time of sitting behind a multi-millionaire QB were finally over. Yep, referring to Watson & Murray. Actually, Big Ben too. He was finally being given his own unique opportunity. So, thankful Coach O'Connell saw in Dobbs what many of us already knew. Again good job. Appreciate the overall positive video. New sub! Oh, & I have a sincere question. Why can't he become a franchise QB? Not saying you're implying that but I've heard it a lot & would like to know why people think that way. Ty!

Not certain what the criterion is for a "franchise" QB...but in my opinion, he has much more talent than KC. He is mobile, has a strong arm and makes good decisions. What is most impressive in my view, is that he leads his receivers so much better than KC ever did...and Dobbs familiarity with his weapons is so minute at this point. As he adjusts his timing to his respective receivers, he is going to terrorize the league's defenses. I simply don't understand the naysaying talking heads around the media. The Viking's receiving core is second to none in the NFL - and not close.

@@SlugSage very true! This team is on its 4th string QB, 3rd string WR and 3rd string RB. For most teams, it’s a throwaway season. For us to make the playoffs would be a huge success. Anything further is just icing on the cake 🔥

Dobbs needs to back up Stroud so he can work at NASA mission control. There's a giant asteroid headed towards Earth and we'll need Dobbs and a crew of roughnecks to save humanity.

As a Titans fan, we set him up poorly and kind of did him wrong. And, yet, he almost came in and won for the team and landed them in the playoffs. I'll always appreciate him. He may end up being a career backup, but, in my opinion, the dude's a straight up magician. He was not the problem on that team.

He should have had a fair chance in Pittsburgh. I always like his demeanor and professional way he handled every down turn. All the best to his career.

He won 1 game with the Cardinals won 2 games with the Vikings but the pattern is set. Good Luck.

The most unlikely thing of all of this, is that the Vikings have been running like a strict pocket passing offense when each of the formations needed a running quarterback. Historically that's where the success lies. So it was just some odd twist of fate that he just clicked to a certain degree that allowed the Vikings to function as well as they have. In truth I think the biggest disadvantage they have right now is time. If they can just keep the success rolling a bit until the bye week, they should have a little bit more time to practice and give Dobbss the opportunity to understand the playbook even more. The thing that I found the most hilarious was that Atlanta was QB hungry and had Dobbs right there to be the hometown boy and they missed their opportunity and watched as he spanked them after 5 days on a new team in front of his parents.

It’s pronounced “Vols” not “Voles.” Also the reason Dobbs didn’t go in directly his sophomore year was because Butch Jones was trying to redshirt him. Peterman was always the #2 behind Worley but had already been injured the previous year by the time Dobbs took over for Worley.

Oh he's a franchise QB based on the eye test. He's literally the smartest QB in the NFL. He also might might be the toughest QB to sack.

I snatched him off the waiver wire in my fantasy football league after he was picked up by the Vikings. I immediately got 30 pts from him and won high score for the week. Now, there were other strange happenings that week, I admit. But still, it's an omen! And what will happen when Jefferson comes back as receiver? Go Josh!!! I'm about to go from 3-6 and last place to making the playoffs in a miraculous comeback! Good on Josh!!!
