I always asked if my soldiers had a plan. My main concern was that they didn't just go home and live with Mom and Dad. That's what happened to me and why I ended up getting back in.

I believe the technical term for it is called "stop loss" John Kerry called it "a back door draft". I believe it's important to note that the people who oppose a military draft the most are senior members both commissioned, enlisted, and otherwise because it will reduce the quality of people who join. I started to prepare two years before I got out. I started working on terminal leave but I would suggest that military members take advantage of tuition assistance and get educated so you have more options when you get out.

I’m at the ass end of a EUCOM deployment and I’ll be at 18 months from ETS Feb 23’. It’s a scary thought getting out but I can’t shake my morale compass being compromised like a mf here. I love the uniform and brotherhood, but nah this ain’t it chief. Like all CSM’s say, “expectation management”.

Is anyone a current/former 12B Combat Engineer? I got assigned to a Sapper unit after OSUT and was wondering what other units there are besides Sapper units.

I will be joining the Utah National Guard as an immigrant next at the age of 30 and I was told that I can join with at least 16 credits from Brigham Young University since I just started taking online classes at that university. My questions are: 1. Is it true what I've aforementioned regarding the 16 credits? 2. If I complete my BA, is there any possibility to be promoted and become an officer later? 3. Can I transfer my education benefits to my son if I don't want to use it? Thanks in advance for your responses
