To the people who say that these changes are minor, and most of the Quran is preserved: that's fine, but even without these minor changes, you cannot claim that it's preservation is miraculous in any way also there are older better-preserved books than the Quran

Dirhams were introduced post 661 AD, by the Sufyani family, the Quran is out by 1200 years! There are so many muslims out there, still earnestly yet quietly despairing to keep believing that they're holding fast to Islam as the only right religious teaching for them- while disregarding the implications of calling anyone and everyone else who are exercising their own freedom of knowledge and religion as, "jahil." In summary, here are those who say the academic specialists on the issue. The establishment of the dogma of an uncreated Qu’ran and perfect in its transmission appeared in the 9th and was opposed by many religious people. We are a long way from an agreement. Inimitability appears in the 10th century and it is only in the 11th century that dogma establishes the doctrine of non-creation of the Qu’ran which leads to that of the eternity of the Qu’ran. This theological turn results in an over-valuation of the role of the Prophet Muhammad in current Sunnism. This doctrine only received official caliphal consecration in the 11th century during the reading of the Qadiriyya. Conclusion: this “truth” of an uncreated, perfect and faithfully transmitted Quran is indeed a dogma and not the data.

This is just the purest example of showing that with internet, Islam will be in deep trouble no matter how you see it , now , I’m not a Muslim , but I have been trying to see what it is all about and how as westerner , I ought to understand Islam, when I’m an atheist . , it’s a scary religion… because it doesn’t accept my thoughts, my values, my respect and my decision of non believers. Yet as human and fundamental values, I respect their beliefs. But this is a catch 22 for me.

As in the case of the Bible, textual criticism is actually a good tool to find the original text of the Quran. The problem is Muslim apologists have been for very long time using textual criticism of the bible to attack Christianity, while denying the fact that the Quran actually suffers from the same problem too.

Not to mention that even if it was preserved it wouldn't matter because language and interpretation evolves with time more so in this kinds of text

One thing I want to mention in opposition to tribal dialect arguement. Umar and the other sahaba that fought over the differences are from the same tribe yet they still fought violently. Therefore, It's clear that these aren't tribal errors, otherwise they wouldn't have fought

The best preserved HOLE-y Quran!

This is a common problem for many religions that do not have some sort of overarching body that determines what is considered a dogma within the religion and what is one's personal opinion. Martin Luther broke off from the Catholic Church over some issues and now you have thousands of different Protestant denominations each with their own flavor of Christianity. Even now you are seeing breaks occurring in Anglican and Methodists over dogmatic differences. The Islamic world is simply trying to pretend this phenomenon won't happen in their religion but literacy and the Internet will slowly pry it apart. It's inevitable.

Why would there be "Ahrufs" in the first place? Does Allah care more about Arab tribes understanding the Quran than the entire mankind? Not only does He send the Quran in Arabic but He also sends in more than one dialect? If one Arab tribe couldn't understand the Quran because it was in different dialect now imagine non-Arabs who don't speak a single Arabic word? How's that fair? Standard Muslim memorise Quran ... the one who understands Quran is Ex Muslim

Ive been listening to this guy for seven years or more and even downloaded videos to keep but still I'm a muslim and pray 5 times a day and fast ramadan every year. I also plan to go to hajj. I know about the other religions and respect them deeply? Why would you think?? Because the metaphysical IS REEEEAL damn it. How freakin stupid can you be. Wheather Islam is true or not doesnt matter, it matters that we show who created us is supreme and we fear a day of judgement and turn to God since we are here for a short period. We see and we hear just like the quran sais "We gave you ears and vision." and by that we see that its more around us than physical things there is this other realm. So being religious makes PERFECT SENSE and I will never stop praying and lean on God. And I will testify always that God is one and Muhammad was the Messenger and last prophet. Being at a place without religion is trying to drink a glass of water without any water in it. Who is going to quench your thirst?

But does the higher text of Sanaa manuscipt match the standard modern Quran? If yes, then Quran preserved. Muslim apologetics will say, that lower text is fake Quran. The true is higher text that is revised by Utsman.

Not to be a nit picker buttttt………. A logical person would look at this ‘holy book’, a record of the revelations handed by Allah (a god said to be male 🤔) to Mohammed a bloke and written down via other blokes (because apparently the prophet bloke was illiterate) and every one else since has been expected to believe that the explanations of the god blokes revelations given to prophet bloke written down by some other blokes and explained to everyone else by some scholarly blokes. Can you see where I am going with this. 1) why would an all knowing god make revelations to an illiterate bloke knowing that he would have to tell somebody else what these revelations were at risk of misinterpretation. 2) we only have the illiterate blokes word that he received this from some deity. 3) given that women raise the next generation which surely an all knowing deity would be aware of, why exclude 50% of humanity from this process. 4) why should we believe that this all knowing deity has a gender? And my last point is why would this deity be so bloody cruel in some of its pronouncements about women! I call bull shit on the whole shebang! And I mean all religions. At least the worship of sun, earth, rain, moon etc make sense as without any of those we wouldn’t survive. Monotheistic belief is an abstract concept used to explain that which humanity could not yet understand and with some things are a long way off understanding. It is a concept that gives us something to rail at when life kicks us in the teeth and comfort when we grieve. It can help the insecure feel secure but also is used to enforce the arrogance of the ignorant. And like any ideology be it theological or secular it harbours the extremes of bigoted ideologues. This applies to all religions they are the original tools of control and their ‘holy books’ the first works of propaganda.

Propaganda !

If you've really spoken or learned the Arabic language, you would have identified that the majority, above 95%, of the variances listed are quite insignificant and pretty much have identical meanings. So I would recommend that before you put on such propaganda, you consult an Arabic native speaker to assess if there is much difference in what you're portraying. No doubt there were some spelling errors, and some words were substituted that were not the correct ones, but overall, like I said, at least 95% are identical in meaning. However, let's consider that there are some inconsistencies. Given the age of the Quran of over 1400 years, they're a whole lot less than what you find in other holy scriptures.
