Many government buildings have rooms like that. Not just the military. Its more so that nothing can be transmitted live out of there. Bugs, phones what have you. Proper anti spy stuff. Usually encased with metal mesh acting like a farraday cage so no radio waves get through. And you usually have to give up all electronic devices too I think. And I bet the high level guys use these rooms way more regular because of the nature of these conversations. I guess they have alot of secretaries running around relaying that someone tried to call and whatnot.

As pointed out in the video, on Jan 5 McCarthy changed the long standing policy allowing the Commander of the National Guard (Walker) to make the call whether and when to deploy the Guard; instead, such an order now had to be authorized by McCarthy himself. Walker's hands were tied. Pelosi had no authority over McCarthy. Pelosi had no role to play in authorizing (nor denying) the deployment of the Guard. THAT is why they aren't questioning her.

Do you know when it became the duty of the Speaker of the House to decide what security measures are needed. Do you think there trained to do that.
