Perfect video for me. Failed my maths and physics exam. At least History was a blast! I can’t stop crying but at least it’s the end of the year 😂

year 12 has been really tough for me, i go to one of the "best" sixth forms in the country but really it is horrendous and a pile of trash, all of my teachers are absolutely horrific and dont teach at all, especially maths where i basically get shouted at every lesson for not understanding when the teacher didn't even go through it. I get about 12hrs hw a week which is sooo annyoing like i dont get time to revise anything else other than hw and the learning env is super toxic :(

whats like the main criteria you would say when picking at what unis you want to go to. great video btw very helpful x

Thank you! Every university will offer slightly different courses and course structures so this is very important in making a decision as you would want to research the differences. Then I always think facilities, the type of uni (eg. campus or city uni) and the accommodation is important to look at. Many universities will have virtual open days and virtual tours which you will be able to look at so I would definitely recommend doing them and then maybe visiting them in person if you are serious about any. Hope this helps.

Hey there in terms of work experience, how many days did you personally do. Secondly, I would like to to do some wider reading on dentistry in order to choose a topic for my EPQ, are there any specific books or podcasts you would recommend, thanks.

I did around 2 weeks of work experience with general dentists, orthodontists, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons! Hmm, I don't have any specific recommendations on those but I would recommend just briefly searching some key terms up that you're interested in and trying to find scientific articles about them! Just by reading anything you are already exposing yourself to so many new concepts which you might be interested in so have a go!

Continuous revision, a little a day is better than nothing! Try flashcards and past paper questions to test your knowledge and see what you need to work on.

How do you recommend getting work experience?

I would cold email as many people/companies as you can! You never know what could happen and most of them will hopefully reply to you and offer some other type of help which you could look into. This was what I did for dentistry work experience and it turned out pretty good.
