Hi guys, where you went is not the original Cavern Club, the original club closed in March 1973 after British Rail made a compulsory purchase of the warehouses, of which the basement housed the Cavern Club, in order to build a ventilation shaft for the new underground railway Merseyrail. This, however, was never built and the area was turned into a car park, soon after the Cavern club closed in 1973, a new Cavern club opened at 7 Mathew Street, later renamed the Revolution Club. This club would later shut down and be reopened as Erics, which itself became a notable local music venue in the late 1970s. The Cavern Club now sits at a 90 degree angle to the original and covers 70% of the original Cavern footprint, the stage is not far from the original location, and the 'Live Lounge' is an exact replica of the original, using as many of the old bricks as possible.

I love the part where George said "Do you see the two birds on top? This is a very famous building in Liverpool and it has 2 birds on top and that's what I know about it". Yes, I'm seeing it for the first time and it is clearly a famous building with 2 birds on top, I totally agree. But what is it? So I looked it up: "this is the Royal Liver Building, one of the most recognisable landmarks in the city of Liverpool and is home to two fabled Liver Birds that watch over the city and the sea. Legend has it that if these two birds were to fly away, then the city would cease to exist." The birds are cormorants. That is just like a cormorant . So clingy.

George & Lucy the CAVERN CLUB where the REO BROTHERS BAND from TACLOBAN, LEYTE Philippines performed there way back 2015 if I'm not mistaken. They sung all the BEATLES SONGS. These REO BROTHERS BAND was the victim of Typhoon Yolanda where their province almost wiped out and thousands of people died. Try to review their performance at CAVERN CLUB AT KZfaq.

Thank you guys for letting us tag along. As you know, Filipinos esp. my age (66) are Beatles crazy! When I was in HS, I never would ride a jeepney going to school with out the Beatles playing! I didn’t care if I was late , I would wait for my favorite Beatles jeepney ! So when I went to Vegas, I went to that Casino near Ceasar’s to watch Cirque du Soleil version of Beatles. Quiet awesome , really but not as awesome as you showing us their origin! When you go back to the Philippines, just mention the name of the Beatles to people my age , and they will fill you up with the complete information about the Beatles that you don’t even know! That’s how fanatic Beatles we are! They are so fantastic!
