in this video Leah provides an in-depth guide for veterans undergoing an ankle pain Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam for VA disability. Leah discusses how ankle injuries can be service-connected, either through direct injuries during active duty or secondarily due to other service-connected disabilities. She explains the process of scheduling and preparing for the C&P exam, emphasizing the importance of understanding and reviewing the Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) sent by the VA. Leah provides a detailed walkthrough of the ankle condition DBQ, highlighting key sections such as medical history, symptoms, functional impairment, range of motion assessments, joint stability, surgeries, and the impact of the condition on the veteran’s life and work.

Ms Leah , thanks for your infomation. I just had a C&P exam. I've had osteoarthritis of the left knee for over 30 years I also have a post-op ACL tear in the same knee I currently have a 50% service-connected disability rating for this knee over the past 10 months I begin having issues with my left ankle I was being treated for gout but I felt that there was something other than gout going on with my ankle because he was unstable and giving way I was finally able to convince medical staff to give me an MRI turns out I have a grade 2 sprain of the anterior talofibular ligament I also have a grade-one sprain of the posterior talofibular ligament also a longitudinal tear of the peroneus brevis tendon I file the secondary claim for my ankle connecting it to my knee I was referred to physical therapy based on abnormal gait mechanics do you feel I filed my claim under proper circumstances , I would appreciate your feed back ?

I had an ankle C&P exam yesterday and they didn't use anything to measure it with or do the motion test 3 times. Also, I have a several other issues going on that they did not take a look at. Is it normal to only look at one item at a time? I was sort of expecting them to go over everything in one exam.

If you provide a nexus letter will the supporting studies and the va drs disagree, how is that possible, They are disagreeing with established case studies that support your disability. I guess we just NOD with DENORVO review because the va dr is ignoring established case study and supporting evidence that you provided. But let's be honest here. The VA doctor does not work for the veteran. They work for the VA and they work to try to discredit the veterand deny his claim.

@@christophert7251 I never said that someone should contact a lawyer. There are also free options like VSOs.
