What to know about U.S. food safety amid bird flu, E. coli outbreaks

A bird flu outbreak is affecting several dairy herds across the U.S., and a federal recall is affecting more than 16,000 pounds of ground beef sold in Walmart stores in 11 states due to possible E. coli contamination. Michael Worobey, head of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona, joins CBS News to discuss the state of food safety in the U.S.

I’ve never bought meat from Walmart. I’m old enough to remember it’s a discount store with unethical practices. In fact, I was shocked to hear a congresswoman state that Walmart fed 40% of Americans. That’s crazy, and I can’t imagine how much food is wasted by Walmarts business model every day

Other than the USDA has detected & recalled 16,000 lbs of beef! There's a lot of food safety, but viruses are jumping from one species to another - watch PBS Frontline & Independent Lens for stories that go into depth about "Chasing Killer Bacteria & Viruses" for a bigger perspective. It's available, just drowned out by Qanon Conspiracies.

I bought and ate from walmart grnd beef and the product was not pulled but sold anyways i got a refund put back on my card but it was not put back on my card. They deny it being recalled
