Allí it does take a minute to learn Silhouette studio. If you look at older video on this channel, Becky used to do so many easy and aha videos. I learned so much from her.

@@Renuewspa yes I have seen a lot of those! I even asked a few months back, what happened to Becky? (Bcuz she covered a lot more silhouette machine help!!) and they responded that she’s doing other things. However, I do find encouragement in any video that’s helpful and silhouette focused and there’s just not as many on KZfaq as there are for the Cricut. No biggie (I guess!) Just wish I knew another way to learn without it costing more $$!! Like a manual or instructions from silhouette that could go over what anyone would need to know before making their first cut!! I learned that info from this KZfaq channel from Becky, when she unboxed the Portrait 3, which is the one I bought. Needless to say, I messed up my mat, ruined a beautiful Holo sheet of vinyl before I sought instructions on here!! Why silhouette doesn’t tell us: 1) the vinyl needs to be placed in those outside jackets at the top; 2) that the settings for most of their vinyl categories are not strong enough, but in fact just make scratch marks on top; 3) most importantly, that some of the designs from the silhouette design store need their own set of instructions!! I’m not digital illiterate but WOW I felt dumb af for the first 2 weeks and was considering returning the dang machine!! Then I found this channel, a couple others that are just regular DIYers/creators and by my own trial and error! I’m still overwhelmingly bad at it, but I can make simple delicate cuts but in one color at a time. And for the love of all that glitters and shines, I cannot figure out how to layer my cuts. Even when I follow a creators instructions. (I think because I’m a hands on/learn by doing it type, not just hearing how to-though it does help some!)

@@allijmccoy I attended Silhouette conferences, some of the classes were amazing and others I was LOST! I even took a Silhouette Instructor course and that taught me a lot but you’re right they have a price tag. I’m actually doing some 2 day hands on training in my house for some local silhouette owners because so many people need the hands on. I miss Becky so much and now this channel has become Cricut based.
