The Port of Baltimore was the 17th largest in the nation by total tons in 2021 and an important artery for the movement of autos, construction machinery and coal. It handled 52.3 million tons of foreign cargo worth nearly $81 billion in 2023, according to Maryland data, and creates more than 15,000 jobs.

That port is losing over $9 million a day until the bridge is repaired If I was running the show, I’d unload $9 million worth of cargo per day until that mf is repaired

I wonder if the bridge had more pillars, it would have spread the impact that much more, that perhaps just a few spots near the impact point would have crumbled. I am no engineer but maybe when they rebuild, they would add more support pillars. Prayer and condolence to the six souls and their family!

Right, I think it was planned. It's unfortunate lives were lost. But We as the people have to start asking questions and get to the truth behind the chaos and drama just to get us to fall for the lies and distractions they cause. It looks like a believable accident but my intuition says Nope, thus was planned.

The callousness of how workers are treated in the USA makes me sick. How is it possible traffic was blocked but the crew working in the bridge stayed??

Simple actually. Police cars blocked bridge entrances on both sides but it was too risky to travel across to alert the workers in time due to the proximity of the ship. Whomever went out to alert them probably wouldn't have made it back in time before the collision. Not everything needs some grand conspiracy against the workers...

It wasn't blocked. If you look at the videos, there were vehicles crossing the bridge as the ship approached and crashed. They say it was blocked, but you can see it wasn't.

The crew was likely on foot since they were doing maintenance. All the other traffic on that bridge was vehicles. There wasn't enough time to notify the crew and for them to be able to evacuate.

From what I’ve read, the bridge was solid. Even those built with today’s standards would not be able to withstand such impact. But let me know if you read differently

The shipping company's insurance will be responsible for the payouts to the family, but we as taxpayers need to pay to fix this bridge to help from screwing over all the people currently out of jobs who work in this port and who will suffer continued losses. Things like farm equipment are used to help put food on your table too. This isn't some conspiracy, it's people's lives and livelihoods that effect our nation as a whole.

The pilot who are appointed by the state are responsible to guide the ship so yes state will pay the bill

@@WiseTreee Why is that even matters? Boeing planes with faulty doors and faulty electronics that caused many crashes were all made by Americans but it doesn't matter at the end. What matter is the investigation and its findings. If you really hate Indians, FYI, modern MacOS, iOS, Android, and Windows OS is mostly developed by Indians/South Asians too. 🤣

Why wasn’t it an accident? The vessel lost power….it was drifting and could not steer. It’s massive. It’s not going to stop when they hit the brakes, because there are none. They have propellers and an anchor. Both of which were used in a desperate attempt to slow the down the vessel. That black smoke that was fuming out from the stacks? That was the engines kicking on in full gear to try and back away from the structure. It’s a massive ship, it will take more than that bring it to a halt.

​@@familypowergroupthe boat is of a size and mass that it cannot be steered without electricity of some type. If they lose their main power, there will be a back up, but that backup will be running limited systems. The main engines on a ship that size are massive and not going to be running on a back up generator. So yeah, when a ship that size loses its main power it'll become more difficult to steer.

The conspiracy theories are a little wild right now….it’s like people don’t understand how their ports or these vessels work. But why would they, they only drive over them or past them. There’s nothing wrong with skepticism, but at least know what you’re trying to say before you say it. Or better yet, learn about big boats and what it takes to control and maneuver them. They aren’t Honda civics, that’s for sure….

I'm saying this as my opinion and under my freedom of speech If you watch the whole video. And watch how the lights go off. Then back on. Adjustments made in steering towards the pillar. Off again. Then back on like they were making sure if their aim at the pillar. Prove me wrong that this does not look like they were aiming directly towards that pillar. See how long it takes before they pull this video off their feed. Prove me wrong that this does not look intentional. That this could of been a retaliation by Iran and Houits sympathizer for the bridges we've destroyed over there. And the government and News is trying to cover it up saying a accident. How is it a accident with such a hard right turn like that when they were supposed to not have power. And when lights do come back on the ship turn even more each time to the right like they were aiming for it. And where were the tug boats?

I think the ship was from India or something... regardless of where it's from, in the shipping industry it's more likely the coolies and a lack of proper repairs that are symptomatic of corporate malfeasance than anything else.
