The Oklahoma City Thunder experienced their largest defeat of the season in a 35-point loss to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Doncic quickly made use of his new teammates, P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford, by finding Gafford for lobs and short rolls and Washington with skip passes. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors hit an impressive three-point shot with only 0.7 seconds left on the clock to defeat the Phoenix Suns. Lastly, let's take a look at the most interesting teams following the Trade Deadline.

It's foolish... Luka is better at scoring on all three levels, and he has twice the passing ability of SGA. Luka has really improved on defense, but SGA is still the better defender, however it's not enough to close the gap between him and Luka offensively.

The TV media always saying that there are 4,5 or even 6 players ahead of Doncic in the MVP ladder but the truth is that he ALWAYS is the best player on the court when he plays against them. Only player in the NBA that has to be doubled in every single game and still putting up those master pieces.

Luka literally has the MJ/Kobe gene. He wants to humiliate you if you piss him off. He doesn’t TELL anyone he’s the greatest, he goes out there and shows you. Luka and Kyrie can each singlehandedly create a wave of offense that can drown their opponent in a single quarter, and they don't just do it once in a blue moon, it's a common occurrence. Not many teams have that. Mostly though it's Luka, nobody else has a player like Doncic.

I've watch the vast majority of Mavs games this year, 2 solid role players is a multiplier for the Mavericks. They have had so many games where they are beating a team but then when then they can't hold on. You need guys that can have moments when things are not going well - the Mavericks just have not had enough of these guys in their losses. Gafford gives Luka another way to stress the opposing defense. PJ is a guy who can wrestle back momentum. They both add rebounding & giving this offense extra possessions is worth a lot. Gafford looked amazing in this game & honestly with him plus Lively, I would not mind at all if Mavs faced the Thunder in the playoffs. They just don't have an answer for either of them. Gafford bringing energy is so true. The thing about Luka & Kyrie is they are both effortlessly brilliant. They are amazing basketball players but neither of them have that kind of energy guys feed off of.

What’s crazy is the mavs thunder game got no attention by the media. You would think two all star starters and 2 mvp candidates going head to head would gain attention but I guess luka won so they didn’t want to show it. I know if sga won it would be all over the media to heighten sga stature and to belittle luka. What is annoying is the media should be impartial because the mainstream are missing the legendary performances by luka for example the 73 game and this first quarter. Their biased towards luka is stopping people from seeing a special historic season by luka which is criminal as a basketball fan.

Mavs fan. Legler is spot on. Gafford and PJ Washington are absolutely ecstatic to go from dysfunction (Charlotte, Washington) to a competitive team (Dallas). Playoff rotation for the Mavs is also looking rock solid - MVP level player (Luka), All-NBA level player (Kyrie), Shooters (THJ, Hardy), 3&D wings(Green, Washington, DJJ, Kleber), big men (Lively, Gafford, Powell). Currently 8th in the West, but on a 5 game win streak with San Antonio next.

The Issue With Grant Williams on Mavs wasn't that he isn't good. The issue was that 1.he isn't a good rebounder 2. He does not pass the ball 3. He shoots anytime he gets the ball. The reason it wasn't issue on Celtics is because no one on that team passes so how will it be noticed from grant? Also he came off the bench so if he shot it was a good thing. But as a starter they need players to make extra passes or score in the post he doesn't do those things. There was 1 game Luka was out kyrie had like 9 points. The issue with that game was that Grant Williams took more shots then Kyrie and was solely focused on his scoring when he needed to get the ball to Kyrie.
@skippy2810
@skippy2810 5 ай бұрын
The issue with Grant is that he thinks he is an underrated player at his role, therefore thinking he's above his actual role. When in reality he is a bench player who can give good minutes on some nights. Comparing to Tim Hardaway, atleast with Tim you know what you're getting on his good nights, while with Grant in his good nights you either get mediocre scoring or an at par defensive effort

I’ll say this about Nurkic. Nurkic made those comments because he was bitter. If you watch the game, he’s attempting to bait Draymond the entire game.
