It’s also just common sense I mean wrapping paper is literally designed to be ripped open so it’s not gonna be sturdy tinfoil is meant to cover things which means it’s gonna be stronger. It’s not gonna be stop a human in one sheet but it’s designed to be durable.

I’m just now realizing how dangerous this is. As a running human, it’s not actually that dangerous, since you’re only going about 5-6, or in your case, 4-5 since you just got a running start. Obviously, as you saw, the tinfoil was strong enough to knock down an adult human. Bringing a human to a sudden stop when in motion, such as running, can be dangerous. It’s why you skid a bit when you try and stop running suddenly. When it’s an immediate stop, such as slamming into twenty-five layers of tinfoil, the energy is slammed back into you, since it has nowhere to spread to slow the fall. Let’s use this as velocity. So, if you’re falling onto still water, depending on how high you are and gaining speed, you will die.
