Dear Laura and Aaron, the reason that you receive wonderful things from others is because you do wonderful things for others. The flowers for the elderly, the vegetables for the needy, sharing plants and bulbs, showing people how to make things without breaking the bank, great decorating and gardening tips, all cause people to want to watch. In these dangerous times it is so nice to watch a program that does not stress and upset you. It makes you forget the horrible stuff for a few moments. I used to watch the news every day and since I focused more on gardening and decorating, I am so much happier and take pride in my own little corner of the world.

You know the old adage that what you put out into the universe comes back to you? Maybe that explains why you were chosen for this pond installation-what you give to the world is positivity, an amazing work ethic, family cohesiveness, and loads of love. It's refreshing to find a KZfaq channel that doesn't attempt to draw in viewers via controversy or drama. Your encyclopedic knowledge of plants along with beautiful videography and editing is a winning combination. Also, I totally appreciate that you jump right into each vid with no silly intro or outro!

My daughter and I discovered your channel many years ago, when a succulent arrangement vid of yours went viral. You were still living in your old house and Dexter was stealing the show. One Christmas, we sent you a card, and though it was opened originally by someone else at the garden center, you still included it into your mail time video, and we were absolutely tickled about it. We have remained faithful to your videos over the years even when many other KZfaqrs have risen to fame and faded, not only because the content you provide it top quality, but because your down to earth, loving, good hearted soul underpins everything you do. Quick calculation is that labor would have been conservatively $25,000 for 14 guys for 3 days, excluding design time and travel time. Add transportation costs (airfare and rental cars and food) - add equipment rental, pumps, filters, gravel and rock, boulders and liners. Increase the labor charge because these are the best of the best ... catering for the crew, and porta potty rental. It was such a generous gift from everyone involved.

Can confirm. A pond done at a friend's house in Florida in 2006 is about 2x the size and came out to $250k, including a gazebo.

yes and if you are adding in the cost of the plants, labor to plant them, mulching and adding the drip system, ect, its way more than that. Most people would have to hire an actual electrician/plumber to run all that utility access, add in the lighting, I guess internet hookup of some type if you wanted to wire all that to sky spy, dig in lines and hook to your access point, ect. You'd also have to pay all those inspections, city/county as you went along. I'm guessing the whole thing is closer to at least 150K. The price of koi, several hundred dollars apiece, the water plants are very expensive too.

Laura, I am with you on how you like to try things at least once. I look forward to seeing you process the wheat crop! Also be neat to see bread come out of it. Perhaps on the new new property this fall, you could always do a much larger patch of it for your own flour. ALSO..... next year, PLEASE grow a patch of your own popcorn! When my brothers & I were children, my mom had us plant, grow, harvest, strip the kernels and of course, pop and eat our own grown popcorn! We did the yellow popcorn and the whole learning process & experience is one of my most fondest & treasured memories as a small child. I think Benjamin & Samantha would find it an awesome experience as well. We had popcorn for a very long time lol.

Not to worry! I think several people will be searching out these businesses (or other certified ones in their state) to create a pond. My current property would be ideal for this but sadly I will be moving. It is most definitely something on my bucket list and honestly something that will play into my search for a new home. I also have seen some bad ponds so I’d save my pennies to have it done right! Your pond is magical! ❤️

Personally I feel like I am being a part of the life of a friend and her family when I watch your channel. I agree with all the comments about why you have over a million viewers. Don’t forget that all of these amazing people who came to build your pond have your huge following now seeing what awesome professionals they are and how a pond, even not one so huge, can be a reality for their yards/property. No doubt doing a collaboration like this is money and time spent making the trip a great investment for advertising for each company as well as the education and ideas shared between them.

For the person with the Closed Captioning question - It's not the video that was uncaptioned, it just wasn't captioned YET. I normally wait about 12 hours or so after an upload before watching. I find myself re-watching their videos all the time because I want to watch the video as soon as it comes out but I miss a BUNCH of information without the closed captioning. Happy to add to the view count 🙂

Attitude reflects leadership. You and your family are very positive and uplifting. You steer clear of personal agendas and opinions on current events and stay focused on the tasks at hand. This is a safe space, so it makes sense that most of the comments are positive. My neighbor says, "No politics, religion, or commentary on people's children, and you'll always have friends." Im convinced she's a genius.

What a happy project week everyone has had from wheat wreaths, to bugs flying on a cool drone and digging up a magical pond! And moving in bolders, logs, trees, plants and shopping for fish. My favorite part was Benjamin sitting in that huge back hoe and helping dig up the first piles of dirt! That little boy gets to do more in his yard than any child I know. He is having a blast! What a blessing it is to watch him be involved with all you and Aaron and the rest of the family as well as all those professionals that came in for this amazing week! 😊❤

Y'all are just so precious and Godly; that's why you have so many subscribers. Oh, and the gardening too lol. I'm so excited for this koi pond and for the kids. Koi are just so much fun (shubunkin goldfish and feeder goldfish as well. I try to "rescue" a few each year). They really do get to know YOU and your family so they become so friendly. When someone new comes up to feed they don't rush to the area. It's just amazing. The grands are such good friends with them. We did our pond ourselves in 2001 and continue to love and appreciate it. Have a blessed time and please keep us updated frequently. I can't wait to see the wonders that will grow. xoxTX
