Making aliyah, especially with children is of course a challenge! Being aware of this already before you guys reach Israel is a healthy and real understanding...One of the important things in my eyes is to learn Hebrew as soon as possible..(the kids will pick it up fast) but you and your wife will be doing yourselves a huge favour if you make it a priority.. Eretz Israel is alive and very,very dynamic so to not know the language in the long term makes it more challenging.. I am a convert of close to 25 years (from South Africa) and there are a few things I have not gotten used to. , BUT, I would never ever think to leave! Eretz Israe..E.I is in my blood snd soul.. I even used to dream for years that I had left snd I would literally wake up in a complete panic . I have soooo much admiration for you guys... When you arrive, Bezrat Ha Shem, surround yourselves with people you trust and love! G-d willing, may your aliyah be as smoothe as possible ❤❤

For any Jewish person thinking of making Aliyah, please don’t stop!!! Keep praying about it, but go and receive your inheritance!!! This is the only spot on the whole earth that G-d Himself has given to a specific people group! It’s yours! Don’t stop until your feet stand on that sacred ground!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🙏 🙏 🙏

Kol hakavod. It is quite a challenge dealing with so much bureaucracy for your entire family all at once. We made aliyah (close to 40 years ago) with "just" one infant and there were times when it was difficult. But it does get easier, and this is definitely the place to be. Good luck! We're looking forward to hearing how it is all going for you.

Thank you🙏🏻 we have been living in Israel for 25 years B”H and it has never been easy. There is so much to adjust to all the time. It’s NOTHING like living in America both in good and less good ways. As much as it’s a huge blessing to be able to live in The Holy Land of Israel and we would never want to leave, it’s also very challenging in ways we took for granted in the U.S.

Someone has to say it!!!!! Your little peus are the cutest things EVER!!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙
@Sara888902 ай бұрын
I agree, I love long peyos, it's not required to be that long but some men grow it long as a part of "beautifying the mitzvah", particualrly Chassidic men and it sort of became the culture. As a woman I'd like to hear why Akiva chose to grow out his peyos, is it just to fulfill the mitzvah, or do you gain some strength from looking "Stereotypical Jewish" to outsiders or is it something else?
@user_mll3742 ай бұрын
@Sara88890 Men just grow what they grow. They can't cut that part of their hair, religiously.
@houseoflev2 ай бұрын
Hahah I’ve waited a long time to start growing them. Thank you
@houseoflev2 ай бұрын
A lot of Breslov Chassidim choose to grow them. And I’m Breslov. However, Rebbe Nachman never placed strong emphasis on external customs. The topic of how to style your Peyot is hardly ever mentioned in Breslov circles and most of us realize that there are much more essential parts of Breslov Chassidut. But For me, yes there are some deeper meanings of why they’re long and curled. Besides that, I’m choosing to grow mine out to beautify the mitzvah. Also I like the idea of being “visibly Jewish”. When people see men with Peyot most of the them immediately know “that’s a Jew”! Being visibly Jewish in this world carries major significance. Thx for asking

Be afraid of what? I thought we’re only supposed to fear Hashem… 🤔
@nomadundercover3018Ай бұрын
@@houseoflev Yes, you are right. But what many people (myself included) experienced is, Hashem has placed enough challenges to serve us up a big piece of humble pie. Emunah should be tempered with reason, otherwise that often leads to arrogance.

Yes , there could be challenges, but if you are able to overcome the challenges or not, all depends on your personal circumstances. The goal is to persevere, but if your curcumstances ask for a new decision, is that also good. Life knows ups and downs. Do'nt judge a family who wants to make aliyah, but discovers they are not able to go at this moment. And if tou have a good reason, children will certainly understand it! They all will have to learn that life knows deceptions. Just be happy that you are able to go. Wish you and tour beautiful family a lot of succes with all the preparations.✈️☀️🧳🌹
