Todays video we go over and install our prototype of the new product that will be releasing and available on the website VERY soon. We get the opportunity to make a nice upgrade on this 2003 6.0 powerstroke. The CCV hose kit with our fitting for the valve cover and fitting to plug the hole in the intake system. All -12 and 5ft of 3/4in hose.

I'm glad to see people are still creating fixes for the 6.0L I have an 06 with 105k miles. It's mostly just my weekend toy unless I actually need to haul something. I stopped using it as my daily drivers a decade ago and it's great to be able to just go through stuff on the truck without being on a timeline.

On our old hot rods we pointed the road tube straight down with a 45 degree cut facing backwards toward the bumper to make certain there was a airflow across the pipe for a vacuum ,

Unfortunately I no longer take on any side work, strictly focused on my projects. However I recommend everybody to T&A Diesel in Marshall MI-they are my go to for parts and repairs. Trucks from all over go there for top notch service.

If you have the 04.5 and up with the external CCV filter, you can take that filter off, and split it open, gut it out, and reconnect the two halves but 180 degrees off from the way you took it apart that way it’s wide open, and the outlet points down and exits near the back. Then you can attach 1-1/4” hose right to the outlet, and use a 3/4” Dorman vacuum cap to plug off the inlet on the bottom of the stock turbo duct. Make sure you use fresh o-rings, and run a bead of sealant around the edge of the two halves before reinstalling. And make sure that hose goes straight down with no bends or kinks. Otherwise moisture can collect there, and freeze, then you’ll try to start on a cold day and blow a rear main seal.

I do not recommend guys remove and gut their ccv filter. By doing this you are definitely going to get oil to drip out of your hose everywhere you go. The internals of the ccv canister is very efficient and effective. Not saying your method didn’t work or wasn’t effective, just not a method I feel is necessary.

Looks just like Maryland performance diesel's kit it's been out for years.

Maryland does not make them anymore. For years they were my go to, they sucked to install, always ended up having to literally hammer the fitting into valve covers. This is 100% my design, I have made the fittings that go into the valve cover kinda pop and lock in, but they can be rotated and easily removed. They are far beyond the mpd kits.

Would there be any benefits to running it into the exhaust? Would that create a suction similar to the manifold vacuum? Thank you for your videos!

I don’t have any experience with an exhaust venturi and in theory it would be similar. However I believe Jared Alderson from KDD did a pretty good write up and monitored crank case pressure. Comparing factory set up to an exhaust venturi set up(may have to do some digging to find it) In his findings running the venturi in the down pipe actually created back pressure into the crank case, he wasn’t able to successfully do it without running the Venturi at basically the tail pipe of the truck. At that point it made more sense to simply run a set up as described in the video. Thanks for your comment and support to the channel!

Hey now I wanted to know dose the turbo not benefits from the cc oil. I know should not have buch of oil but would think it helps the life of the turbo

@@artgarde.gardelandscapingl5585 The oil existing the mainiford is not clean oil. Also, that oil gets pulled into the CAC tubes and intercooler. While it does cool the charge, it also introduces contaminates.

I won’t say that there’s not some benefits to the factory set up, because there is… but I will say there are some downfalls. What you give up in my kit vs the factory set up is marginal, but the benefits are major. Factory set up forms a suction/vacuum on the crank case. My kit does not. Factory sucks oil through the engine, creating smoke, filling your intercooler, and seriously deteriorating your intercooler boots eventually leading to blown boots etc… this kit alleviates all of those issues. Look at all of your competition vehicles, they ALL route ccv to a catch can or atmo. The biggest thing is allowing enough flow! Every person that has had an issue with ccv set ups is almost always self inflicted.

@@LeftLaneDiesels oh for sure. I’m tired of all the oil in the intake system. It’s kinda excessive. International/ford should have made a better system to keep the oil back in the engine and just allow the vapor to condense first instead of condensing in my intake tract

Plus a well set up draft tube creates some vacuum from a venturi of the road speed air flowing by it.

@@LeftLaneDiesels I'd heard of people having problems after rerouting a CCV hose, relating to the hose becoming obstructed. Several people had issues during cooler weather as the materials solidified inside the tube restricting flor. Some of the guys were walking about routing the hose next to the exhaust to keep everything hot and flowing. One of our guys put an elbow on the hose so when he changed the oil, he could pull the hose and blow a little air through the downstream section to make sure it was clear. Anyway, looking forward to your kit being released.

I'm needing some help with my 6.0 it's an 06 and it will only boost to 10psi. It was showing a ebp falt so I have changed it out I put a pig tail on it and I have changed the map sencor. And now it showing a open eger and low voltage. Do you have any advice on what it might be.

Does your truck have an egr cooler on it? If it does I would pop the egr valve out and inspect to see if it’s stuck open.

What if I have a 2004 f250 with a 2006 6.0 would I need this set up or the 05-07 kit????

When I release the ccv kits I will have a detailed video that makes it super easy to determine what kit you need. Ultimately you will need to look at your drivers side valve cover to see if the ccv filter box is under the valve cover(03-04.5, comes straight out of the valve cover pointing towards the fender) or if it is external of the valve cover(04.5-07, points up and inward towards the hood). I expect to have both styles available for purchase in 1-2 weeks.

If installed and routed properly the CCV will never freeze up. This is exactly why it’s SUPER important to have no low spots and constantly be going down hill with your hose. I have personally been in negative degree temps without issue. Routing is KEY
