I loved the interview with Carl where he tells the story of how when he went in to read for the part of Apollo Creed and when he finished he knew it didn't go too well so he asked them if he could read again but with someone else because the guy who was playing opposite him wasn't very good and he knew he could do better if they could get a better actor to read with. Well it turns out it was Sylvester Stallone he was reading with but he didn't know who he was! Carl laughed while telling this story.😂😅 RIP.

Carl Weathers trained at Vince Gironda's bodybuilding gym in North Holywood as did many other stars and top bodybuilders. At the time of the Rocky movie he was a vegetarian. I am not sure if he was at the time of his passing. He said he could easily have gained twenty pounds of more muscle but instead did a circuit routine created by Gironda to stay lean and athletic. Famous fight trainer Al Silvani who trained about twenty world champions has a bit part in the movie as does Roberto Duran who is seen sparring with Stallone.
