I don't think people understand the significance of the enchantment used here. Steve put "Loyalty" on the trident and gave it to Alex. It's a double meaning. He's showing his loyalty to her by giving her a gift representing their friendship. The fact it returns to her signifies how he'll always return to her no matter how far apart they are. It's a very subtle hint of what's to come. Especially when they traverse the Nether.

Why they hack such a nice person who makes great vids. Hopefully they get it back

This was a big step in their relationship. Going out on what was essentially a fishing date, Alex falling asleep on Steve's shoulder, them taking down the zombie together, and Steve gifting Alex the loyalty trident. So sweet to see them growing ever closer!

Maybe it's just me, but I have always seen the loyalty enchantment creating those chains, but imprinting what could be described as a tattoo on the player's arm, proving it is loyal to the weilder. However, if it is the curse of binding, the item will painfully graft a magic mark into the skin of the user/wearer, sealing it to the user, even in death.

Thought of an interesting story inspired by your animations. What if Alex was bitten and somehow turned into a zombie. Instead of killing her Steve is forced to trap her then search all over the Minecraft world for a cure. He ends up in the frozen tundra where he discovers an igloo and takes shelter from a snow storm. By this point he's looked all over for a cure and is just about to give up. As he kicks at the carpet in frustration, he discovers the hidden stairs to the basement where the cure for zombification is along with the instructions on how to do it. He journeys all the way back to where he locked Alex in the base in hopes that he is able to heal her. After Alex is healed and comes to, she wonders why Steve went to all that trouble to bring her back to life. Steve doesn't say anything and just shrugs like it's no big deal. Alex laughs quietly to herself and rolls her eyes.

Well the hacked vids are gone… but the channel’s name is still wrong, the About info is too, and the home page links to that “Ripple” crap. So hopefully it just means Silpaeja is slowly fixing those issues and NOT because the hackers are lulling us into a false sense of security.
