@@NextChapterYT uhm.. I’ve never rated the other books, so an Edgedancer rating would sort of exist in a vacuum, but I’d go with an 8. It’s not a mindblowing or groundbreaking story, but I love the characters, the humor, the depth that we see glimpses of, the extended worldbuilding, and I had a great time throughout.

edgedancer was my first book read in English, so... I understood 50%. But the ending was really cool, the herald appearing and everything

I'm literally reading the last chapter of it right now. Took me a bit to get into because it felt a bit generic at first, but man, it really grips you after the first few chapters

So sad you guys don't like Lift but I get it - she's pretty unpopular with a lot of fans. She's one of my favourite characters and to be honest her presence saves parts of Oathbringer and Rhythm of War for me. I love her interactions with Dalinar and Szeth so much . the way she and Szeth interact in Oathbringer is epic. She's so matter of fact, unimpressed by things and just normal and matter of fact. I find her really lovable that in a world of epic larger than life gods and heroes, she's just a good person.

I’m not 100 percent but I’m pretty sure that Lift is one of the three that cultivation granted the boon for. Dalinar and taravangian are the other two and we have seen go crazy it has gotten with both of them so I’m excited to see the shenanigans at play with lift

Interesting take ! I actually loved this book, because Lift's brand of goofiness is deligthful to me. I would rate it lower than the main novels (7.0) but I still enjoyed a lot the setting and the insight we get about Nale. Edit : Haha you missed the edit at the end, this is great :D

If you enjoy Lift's Interludes, you will love it. If you don't enjoy her, brace yourself. The entire book is essentially Lift's Interlude on steroids

Hey, I think you have misunderstood a bit. Lift went to the Nightwatcher, but then was blessed by Cultivation, not the Nightwatcher. So she is still aging and changing.

Also, Nightblood can’t decide who is good and evil. It tries to attack everyone but the holder when unleashed and also kills the holder because it feeds on investiture. That is why Lift and Szechuan can hold the sword for a time, because they can take in stormlight for Nightblood to feed on, but when it runs out, it feeds on the investiture of the soul.
