Just a Question mate! Considering all the drama taking place within the EV car industry as far as thermal runaways with lithium batteries. How safe is this type of battery due to the heat produced from the engine?

They are safer than you think. BMS protected. You walk around with a phone in your pocket and or laptop and charge it in your house or beside our bed. Your phone also has a BMS to cut out on temp. Plenty of research on the matter on line. But to protect yourself, use high quality like Invicta. I have a full start, house and 36v electric setup in my boat for the last 12 months. If they are installed correctly you will have no dramas.

It would be a good setup for a weekend warrior that just wants to run a fridge and a few lights without the cost of a full dual battery system. Has there been any issues with shortened alternator life because of a lithium battery’s high charge acceptance?

This is a great setup for the weekend warrior. We've been fitting these for almost 3 years, and have had no alternator issues.

High temp cut out on these are 80C, I have not run under the bonnet but in boat for 12 months. Only issue I have seen is water can get into the jump start switch and short the switch light. The battery is IP56 so it should be able to handle a spray of water on a wash down.

Just a quick question, for the 2nd auxiliary battery, would you recommend a deep cycle LiFePo4? And if so, what DC to DC charger would you recommend? Many thanks
