I think this is a great tutorial for what to expect and I applaud your honesty in not trying to cover up the lack of eccentric tension in the maxpro. There is no such thing as a perfect piece of gym equipment which is why gyms are full of tons of different machines, barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells but what you are providing in such a small package has way more positives that negatives. I guarantee you will not find another piece of equipment that does as much as yours for the size and price. I go TDY often as well as field exercises in the Army and this will be my go to everyday to keep me mentally and physically ready to go.

Thank you for the info & update. There should be no big surprises to buyers of this product IF they did their homework like I did. I used to workout regularly & even competed in couples bodybuilding. I see no reason why MaxPro will not help you get fit and keep you fit. Having unrealistic expectations for a product is the problem, not the product. If you feel this portable exercise machine isn’t going to give you what you want you should be at a gym with a variety of machines and free weights. Please don’t kid yourself and think that MaxPro or any other individual product will give you everything you need, or make you a winner at the Olympics. The MaxPro is a tool to help you with reaching your goals, not a do all be all. No product will do that. I for one am looking forward to receiving my MaxPro. No more gym for me 😄. Home fitness with MaxPro, calisthenics, breathing exercise techniques, the right foods, and daily life events is all I need to get & stay fit. Thanks & looking forward to the delivery 🚚

This is probably one of the best videos I have seen for this product. I guess it is thanks to having Mike. He does sound like he has good knowledge about the mechanics of fitness, and he actually looks fit. I was on the fence about buying Maxpro. I was considering adjustable dumbbells instead. However, this video has given me the last push to get convinced that it is a great product knowing what you get (i.e. only concentric muscle contraction).

I've just received mine and didn't know about these things, particularly the break-in period. I was a bit bummed by how jerky and bumpy it was until I saw this. You printed it (I think) in the yellow guide I'm sure, but most people bypass that. Perhaps an email to all new buyers?

I have had my Maxpro for about a year and a half and the cable still catches when doing work outs. its a bit distracting and not as smooth as going to a gym.

Been using 4-5 times a week for two months and it's still jerky. It has not smoothed out in the least. The higher the weight, the more jerkiness.

Do you guys have a curl bar? The bent one? I thought I saw one in a video before I purchased mine and was wondering where I could get one. Thanks

does the "dial in" resistance weight exactly match the the weight of dumbells? does the resistance clutch wear out with use? does it provide the sam resistance going up and going down, the positive and the negative?
