I try not to dive too far into my childhood crushes on the Beast from Beauty and The Beast aka Prince Adam (before and after his change, which I blame on the library scene) and Zuko post-ponytail phase… I’m just a girly who loves a hurt soul 🤷🏼‍♀️

as a kid i didnt realize that they were crushes, but after realising im a lesbian in my 20s, from every now and then i have the "oh it was a crush" moment. in chronological order: Terk from Tarzan, Mirage from the Incredibles (and Violet too); Leslie from Bridge to Terabithia (the biggest crush of them all...); Ramona, Knives, Envy and Kim from Scott Pilgrim. I would say I had taste, if not for Terkina 🙈 it's a miracle I'm not a furry

I've come to the conclusion that the secret to animal characters' charm in cartoons is in the eyebrows. Examples: Balto, Spirit, Simba, Kenai. I wouldn't say they were childhood crushes, but, in some way, I still think they're some of the most attractive cartoon characters ever. For the "human" category, I'd say General Li Shang, Denahi and Ashitaka. I'll also add in Lilo's big sister, Nani, Mulan, Princess Mononoke and Moana. Those were defenetely not childhood crushes, but they win the hottie prize for me.
