Off the top of my head, can't think of any super similar dynamic. But basically any maid/butler and their master would be similar. A knight and their princess/prince. Hell, Roy and Riza is one just to a lesser extent. If you've read ahead in the Konosuba novels, which I assume your fan of, there's even an example in one of the princess' bodyguards. Basically, just take a guard's devotion for their master/boss, make it romantic and add some political taboo for drama. Boom, perfect bodyguard crush. Some f my favourite examples include Remilia/Sakuya (Touhou), Lin/Lan Fan (duh), Lucina/Severa (Fire emblem and it's can be a stretch depending on the writer/artist), Rem/Subaru (Re;Zero. Another stretch, but the second half of season 1 really puts her in a psuedo one) and finally Youroichi/Soi-Fon (Bleach. Another Shonen for ya).

Fullmetal is one of those shows where they did a great job developing the romantic relationships. To the point where the non-canon yaoi crowd is actually the minority in this community. You KNOW the writing is good when that's the case.

I think it's in part because Arakawa-sensei is so extremely respectful of all her characters, even the ones she makes fun of! So because they all develop so beautifully, it's hard not to like it.
