Coldplay rarely allows other celebs to cover their songs, they even declined an offer worth $50000. But they readily gave permission to BTS, and even congratulated in korean?? Now that's huge. They're not even an english band, yet they sang it so beautifully, way more beautiful than any cover. Because of their cover, now it's one of their famous and most streamed songs. This shows how much BTS is respected by other artists in the music industry

Just wanted to add a correction that coldplay does allow covers. They just don't allow usage of the song in ads/movies that they feel go against the meaning of the song because their art is very important to them and they don't want to sell out. Also the song was a mega hit even before bts covered it haha. But yes bts covering it did cause a spike in the chart cause it's such an old song

Coldplay is a couple decades beyond me (I’m a flower child from the 60s and 70s so probably why I dig Dynamite) but this song is so beautiful. And timely.

This song came out nine years ago. Chris Martin originally wrote the song for his then wife Gwyneth Paltrow. He wrote "Fix You" in order to comfort Gwyneth after her father died in 2002. The lyrics in the song are about how she felt after her dad died. BTS didn't make it famous. It's already famous. Don't insult the original artist. The reason they don't allow it in ads and movies because it's the most important song they've ever written. They don't want people to butcher it.

It’s true what you said- I read an article that said that Coldplay has denied a lot of requests to sing this song because it is special to them but that they allowed BTS to do it !! Very special/awesome rendition of it!!

This is absolutely mesmerizing. I'm an RM bias, so when he started harmonizing with Jin (my wrecker) I was so stunned I think I stopped breathing. And he didn't stop there, he did this with all 4 of them. Then Suga & V, J-Hope & JImin. OMG!!!!!! The vocal line was amazing as usual, but the rap line, I did not see that coming. We all knew J-Hope could sing, but RM and Suga really impressed me. This was just magical. Side note -Jin's vocals were amazing. He deserves so much more praise.

You can also go onto the channel BANGTANTV and click on the playlist section and each member have a playlist of their 10 favourite songs and Jin has 3 Coldplay songs Fix You, The Scientists and Viva La Vida. Jimin has 1 Coldplay song which is Fix You. Jin loves Coldplay a lot because he has never failed to add Coldplay onto his playlist.

bruh!! did you all saw what BTS did in this MTV Unplugged?? Telepathy: for the distance, Blue & Grey: for the sadness, Fix You: to reconfort us, Life Goes On: to keep going and Dynamite: to cheer us up. That show WAS EPIC in every performance. I personally love B&G set. I want to tell the truth: Coldplay is not one of my favourite bands, i was a little disappointed when i read they were to sing Fix You, but the way they did it was beautiful and a bold move, just like you said it. Well done BTS, well done ;) :)

I’ve never been a huge Coldplay fan myself, but “Fix You” is definitely one that I always loved from them. And at the time that it was popular, that song held a very deep meaning for me. Now with BTS’s cover, it holds a completely different meaning for me and makes me love and respect them even more than I already did, and I already had such a deep love and respect for them. This performance touched me in a way I was not expecting at all and every single time I listen to it I break down crying but I can’t stop listening because I love it so much.

Coldplay was literally my favourite band (until BTS). Now they're tied. Both artists make music that heals people and is why I love both. So happy my man Chris allowed BTS to cover one of his most iconic songs. I don't want to purchase this song......I NEED it.

@@slytherinbuttafly3088 my all time Favourite Coldplay song (which is impossible because they're ALL amazing, just like BTS, UGH lol) is A Sky Full of Stars. I literally have the lyrics tattooed on me. And I plan on getting Mikrocosmos tatted on the same arm, as well. Because I Adore space......and both songs are so pretty. The concert version of ASFoS is SO much fun!!!! So much jumping and shouting the lyrics as loud as you can. I live in Wichita so I went to Tulsa in 2016 and KCMO in 2017 and had a blast both times. I really hope they tour again as I wanna go to more haha. And I have yet to go to a BTS concert.....but maybe someday. ㅠ.ㅠ

Lloro con esta frase, es realmente verdad, escuchaba nombrar a BTS hace varios años, hace unos meses atrás en 2021 estaba casi en una depresión y muy triste, y por esas cosas entre a escuchar el tema con Coldplay y fue un antes y un después. Ellos son ARTE lo que generan es indescriptible, amo haberlos conocido. Sus canciones sin lugar me ayudaron bastante a salir de ese pozo triste en el que estaba.

Jungkook starting the song was really beautiful hes really a versatile vocalist ,tae's deep voice esp at the end w/c it makes me shiver,Jin low vibrato and highnote in a full voice at the bridge part,jimin angelic and unique voice and the rapline harmonizing with the vocalist was really something they have diff tone,rm harmonizing with his low deep voice,suga's sounds like a 2nd voice of a rock band and jhope soft and soothing voice.

taehyung has the most incredibly wide vocal range. taehyung is a baritone, but he can not only make low notes, but he can also make high notes and he does it effortlessly. Taehyung's voice can also express the emotions of a song the BEST. I love his voice so much ♡

Guys I really love and respect your reactions.You are the first that treat them in a group way. I saw a lot of reactions and always said: V was better, JIN killed, etc. But the most of them don´t even mention the work of the rap line or exactly what you said the work and effort that our kids have always done. Because you really know and love them, like me. I really want from the bottom of my heart that our kids have what they want and need. They deserve all the good things. I cried a lot cause felt and feel soooo proud of them, how they have grown and .improved, now there is no doubt how valuable they are. They fixs us!!! I realize that you almost cried!!!

All the members have gone to see Coldplay in concert! They all love them!! Jimin & Jin even have this song on their playlist, though I'm sure other members have had as well. Amazing all the praise, especially for Jimin, Jin & RM, received separately and for their so exquisite harmony together! Forbes as well as even a well known Korean opera singer made a point of singling out Jimin for various reasons! Although all members have been continually being praised! Yoongi, Hobi, & RM's vocals are just do thrilling to hear!! How do all these members keep getting better and better, even when you thing they can't get better!! Just wow!!

This is what allows “older peeps,” the ability to live them. They are true artists and healers with their music. Being a “little” bit cynical, the first time I read Big Hit’s “tag line,” I was like..”yeah..right 🙄.” Another corporation, trying to pass off a “manufactured boy band,” as “artists.” I have been eating crow ever since. BTS, although Kpop, I mean..are they really? Please, not dissing the genre, but these young men truly transcend the “norm” and crossover into every music genre.

Aside from the beautiful music they create, the entertainment, chaotic & hilarious mess, their philanthropy, etc...they've stuck to their message from the very beginning. They're the same guys since their debut, but more mature and evolved in their crafts as Artists and individuals. 💜
