Covid changes were all positive to me. I work from home now, I get paid more, my mortgage is lower because we refied during Covid. And I actually like the new system at Disneyland but because I’m not a season pass holder. I remember those horrible lines years ago, and this time was prepared for the worst, but with Genie plus it was a breeze. Loved the new food mobile ordering system, the app, the fact that I see wait times straight in it, and use it as a map.

Our Magic Keys expire mid-May, and during our last trip about two weeks ago, we officially decided NOT to renew. Our plan is to re-evaluate renewing after all of the construction is done. Our last trip to the park pretty much sucked the life out of my wife and I. It feels like the magic is wavering at the park right now, and it's very sad.

They should open up shoe store In downtown Disney. Salt and straw is from Oregon and all their stores are always packed and lines out the door! So good!!

The hardest thing that changed and never came back was relationships were redefined during closures. The biggest silver lining was the change in my home life. I had to learn how to cook and found a new talent/joy in it. Katie’s cooking and grocery shopping vlogs were instrumental in that transformation. My husband and I decided to go forward with starting a family, which we did. Best decision ever! 2020 was horrible but really changed some key things. KT and Spencer’s videos helped keep my family feel less disconnected from the world.

We have never purchased a Magic Key after years of having annual passes. I cannot stand the reservation system. We go maybe two times a year now 🙁Prior to 2020, we were in the park 2 days a week. My husband and I teach financial literacy class at our church, and every couple who have a Magic Key, said that they are not renewing them because they are too expensive.

I feel people are less interested in buying the Magic Keys, I love Disney and was an AP holder back in the day. I was really considering buy a Magic Key this year but because of all the construction it wasn’t worth it to me

We didn't renew bc the value wasn't there. Live in az, used to go 3x a year...price is so high for entire trip now. Feels like pay more and get less overall. So we are once a year now 😏

I was a “season pass” holder for years, with all the changes and the price hikes we had to give that up, even traveling 8 hrs to get there the passes were so convenient to us. Now we haven’t been in 3 years. I miss how it use to be that’s for sure!

The reservation system only worked when it was limiting capacity. There’s no point now. I feel like Disney never really hits capacity except on major holidays if even then.

I really enjoy watching your streams because you are very genuine compared to some of the other bloggers. You cover a little bit of everything from rides, food and definitely the merch but my favourite is that Spence points out interesting facts about the park’s history and features that most people wouldn’t notice. I would enjoy more facts about the history of Disney as it seems that people have lost the meaning behind why the park was built. “To live would be an awfully big adventure” 🧚‍♀️🏴‍☠️

If you like day trip suggestions you should go to Julien located in San Diego mountains the best food and then the wild flowers are blooming just down in the desert. The best restaurants are Miners Diner and the pie 🥧 shops of course. So yummy 😋 thank you for all you do!

Our last visit Disneyland was at night after fireworks. What a difference! No one on their phone/app. cast members happy and chatty. Rides were walk ons. Incredible.

Thanks for all your videos! I’m visiting Disneyland from Australia early October so it’s helpful to know all the tips and tricks to maximise our time in the parks and navigate crowds - we can’t get there too often! I’ve been several times before but useful to know what’s new and updated (including simple things like mobile orders that need an internet connection - important to know for international guests who will need phone coverage). Maybe I’ll see you in the parks!

My son was born in late October of 2019. I had about 6 weeks to be at home with him and then it was time to get back to work. The lockdown gave me an opportunity to actually be home and see my son grow up and it is something I will cherish forever.

With the reservation system I feel like I can’t get the full holiday or special event experience. I feel rushed to take it all in, in one visit because who knows when reservations will be available. We book every Sunday because that’s our usual Disney Day. So we have to use up all our opportunities to secure that day. It would be nice to be able to pop in during the week too but reservations aren’t always available. And on the day we go I don’t want to eat 8 tabs in one day. It’s too much food so then we don’t get to try all the items we want. I don’t know if any of this makes sense because I have one ear open on what you’re still talking about in the video. Anyway, hate reservations. Love you guys.

So disappointed that Salt and Straw was so busy. Spencer is right about Hagen Daz. The parks have been so crowded/busy. Security is more important than the turnstiles!! I love the time change. Yes keep it. I was thinking you should go somewhere sunny in the winter like Hawaii! I’m so grateful that I found you during the situation. It was difficult for me since I was used to going to a ton of concerts and traveling then BAM! Oh sorry I’m writing a book. Love you two. 🩷🪲

I loved the Vault!!!! It was a shop I had to check it every visit because they always had the cutest merch. I was heartbroken when they took it away. Then they tried to take that merch where Home is now for a while and then took that away. Cross out fingers they bring it back 🤞🏽

Love this kind of video, but I love all your vlogs, because I like to know your thoughts on what is happening like the MK. I won’t be renewing mainly because of the reservations because sometimes things come up and I can’t cancel day of. If you can at WDW why not here? Also, to many times I go the rides are broken down or closed and it is not worth the Inspire price which I have to get because it includes parking.

I worked every single day of the pandemic being security meant we were considered front line services so we went in no matter what kind of lockdown they threw at us I live in Ottawa and worked in the heart of the trucker convoy I have been to WDW 3 times now since travel etc let up :) I love that you brought this series back! would be so cool to maybe try a live again if you don’t like it go back to this format? You were asking for positive things that came out of "the situation": I found this channel at that time. The "episode" where Spencer was at the gate looking in and talking about how much he missed it. I followed this Channel from that "episode" til now and I even got to meet you on the first day of Halloween last year. I found peace and comradery knowing that other adults are Disney adults too and it is accepted and celebrated here.

I feel the same as you guys, pre "situation" Disney felt SO magical I loved coming and they had the absolute best cast. I have the socal pass (the other ones were sold out by the time I got on) and go with friends a few times a month but it feels like they are trying to give us less value. And the parking thing sucks. :/

This was a jam packed episode. I really miss WHW or the Pateron live. I miss chatting with the chat. I must say the best part of covid was the shopping pick up. I am such an impulse buyer that now i just order thru an app and drive up. I can even do it in my jammies with no judgment. 😂😂 I am not looking forward to the baseball stadium. Especially where it is going. Traffic is going to be a nightmare and parking. Yikes! Personally I just have no connection with the Raiders or the A's. When we got the Golden Knights it was OUR team. Vegas Born. And the players helped get us thru the recovery of the shooting. The other teams are just here for the money and new stadium.

For me, I didn't have any issue with reservations, I didn't renew because the prices on everything keep going up and up but the experience is not getting any better and the crowds are out of control

I was tempted to finally get a Magic Key since they were available. I live in Norcal so can't get there as often as a Magic Key would be worth it. BUT why I was tempted was because ONE DAY ONE PARK was $184-194 in April, even before park hopper. But I didn't get the Magic Key because I won't be coming down more than 2-3 times.... so sad.

I'm not too fond of the magic keys function because I feel it's not beneficial for my money. My daughter and I had passes since she was 3yrs old, and when the pandemic came, we hadn't had them because of the reservations. We used to go 4 hours any day and now it's not like that. I love Disney, but it's just not worth it anymore. I feel a lot of people feel the same. Also, besides the magic key holders, the people just feel more entitled, not like before it just doesn't feel the same.😢

The E-ticket Avengers, Disneyland Resort Pandora land, etc. I think these things WILL happen……but people are really IMPATIENT! Things take years, and YEARS!! I’d say 2028 for the E-ticket, and 2030 for Avatar. (Depending on L.A. Olympics). Disneyland Forward (if it gets approved in April?) Look for changes in the 2030’s, and 2040’s!! 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

To be fair, it’s not that all the people are necessarily impatient, some are, but i think the issue is that when Avengers Campus opened, everyone kind of felt like there wasnt much to do and Disney said that they were working on the next attraction. So Basically, dont judge it so harshly yet cuz its not done. It will be 3 years old in June, and nothing has been announced. Even at the last D23-not a peep. Also, in my opinion Disney’s production pace is slow in the planning phases relative to other entertainment development paces in the country. Vegas is a good example of fast concept to fruition pacing. At Disney, too many chefs in that kitchen slows down the decision making process and budget constraints then destroy the original design concepts and then we’re left with excuses of why something isn’t that great. Galaxies Edge had a C ticket and another restaurant in its concept that fell victim to budget cuts among other things. So Who’s to say Avengers wont see that same fate. I Hope not, but i guess time will tell.

It took 11 years until Cars Land was finished, but that was a great addition. ……most people are SO IMPATIENT, it’s like the 3-4 customers STARING at the Starbucks baristas to quickly finish making their drinks (people literally stand by the baristas and stare). Americans are beyond ridiculous.

Never, NEVER move to Las Vegas if you’re used to the charm, and character of SoCal towns, cities, mom and pop businesses, etc. People move to Vegas from SoCal because it’s cheaper, with no income tax (I moved from Calabasas!). But I’m REALLY regretting the move to Las Vegas!! The Las Vegas valley is LITERALLY a thousand dirty strip malls with chain stores, fast food, chain restaurants. I was told Summerlin, and Henderson had charm (they definitely DON’T!). Sure, there are good restaurants in the Chinatown, and some of the strip malls have some good restaurants…..but Las Vegas should be renamed “Dirty Strip-mall town). I still love The Strip, and go about once, or twice a month (but what do you do the OTHER 28 days in the month?!). Ugh! I’m DEFINITELY moving back to SoCal!!! I don’t care how expensive it is!! Las Vegas is a Gilded Hellhole!! 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Have a thought do you think the stands are going down each year because like Disney or dca is charging those businesses so much for that stand they can't afford the prices they want to have there stand there during the festival that those places will not break even after buying the food to make the stuff and pay the employees to run it and the electric and stuff there prices would have to be so high nobody will buy the stuff for that business to even break even for instance at my out door mall when they have a sidewalk sale there use to be a pop corn stand but there rent for the little space on the side walk the mall charged them 600 a day and they made no profit because prices had to be so high and the mall controlled there hours to if you did not open when they said you got charged an extra 600 dollars mall did not care if it was rain sleet or snow
