Well here is a story for you all I am 47 and been into music all my life but i couldn't stand death metal as a kid ,were ALL my rothers loved it ! Fast forward to 2011 and i become a fan of deathcore and it sends me down the path of discovering all forms of extreme metal ! Now i jam everything from suicide silence to nun slaughter Its never ro late and it dont matter where you start or end whwn in comes to genre .....its in your soul Good interview 🤘

Deathcore, the mix of actual Death Metal and actual Hardcore has been around over 30 years. Confusion in NYC began in 1990 and Darkside NYC began in 1991. Hell, you can even hear Death Metal in early Sheer Terror demos from 1986/1987.

Did not expect this, but you know what? Garza seems like a cool dude. J-Dawg, this might make you laugh. I went to California this last weekend, on the drive down (14 hours) I stopped in Fresno to get breakfast and a coffee at McDonalds. I saw Suicide Silence open for Megadeth with my friends in high school, they were great. The singer Mitch was full of energy and so many people copied him and the bands style, for sure

Oh damn, he actually followed through! 🙀 Black Anvil is not a deathcore band. They're part of that NY USBM scene. Kevin Bacon's son plays in that band. The elitists crowd, he is probably referring to the blackened deathcore scene. Everybody thinks Lorna Shore, but there are more than them that aren't as popular or as known as them. I could see that mindset.
