Love wild blackberries. Every year for Thanksgiving my aunt made her blackberry torte. It's so good and refreshing. Make a sugar cookie crust (or buy the refrigerated dough) and press in the bottom of a pan, bake until done. Make up Black cherry Jell-O (or flavor of your choice) and allow to set until slightly thickened. Mix in several cups of blackberries and pour over baked crust. Refrigerate until set. Top with whip cream or Cool Whip. Yum!

Good morning Mel and Gary. Saturday morning I guess a Doe left her fawn in the backyard. The fawn is maybe a month old. In 22 years of living there this was the 1st time this happened. I did some research before I went out back and according to DNR this happens alot. The doe sometimes feels it is safer to leave the fawn in a safer area and she will go find food then come back for the fawn. Not unusual for her to leave the fawn for multiple days. Two days the fawn was back there. I went to work at 3 this morning, went out and checked the Fawn was gone I think. Things you learn at 63 years old! Have a Blessed Day

Yummy leave the blackberry bushes, that a good patch. Wear knee boots and just pick. If all 8 of you pick you'll have 5 gallon bucket full. I had to cut mine out they weren't getting pollinated. 😢 Prayers for everyone that was affected by the tornados. ❤

Girl I have a few blackberries I consider treasure! I put out bags and foil yesterday, hope it keeps critters away. I so would set up cameras cause, you will have bears enjoying those berries.

Take a look at Cog Hill Farms out of Alabama. Wonderful people and she makes blackberry cobbler and she shares the recipe and they all loved it!! Just an idea!!! They also freeze dry them and they eat them as candy snack.

hi there, something i would do in your place is to make like path in the black berries so i could pick the blackberries easy and so i could see what is infront off me. becasue i would worrie about snakes and what not in the bushes and whit a path then i could see if a snake or what not was there. another thing i would do is to place cameras in the area becasue sure bears that is grown up will not be near your place but bears that is a couple off months or similare they would go near your place becasue off food (black berries) and that they are curious of what is going on at your place. just some tips.

Good morning! A berry rake is a game changer. I made mine from a 64 oz plastic salsa container as i like to recycle like that. But you can make them out of a simply orange jug or even out of grain scoops. The lid side of your jug is the holding side, keeping the lid in place and you cut open the jug bottom to resemble a scoop leaving the handle. Wooden dowels, popsickle sticks, metal skewers, or metal coat hangers folded in a long skinny U shape. If the plastic is thick enough you can cut your own rake/comb but make a shorter comb for durability. Also your hair looked so cute this morning. ❤ It gave Maryann from Gilligan's Island vibes. She was the prettiest of the 2 imo.
