NFS II didn't have a Saturn version but PC did. The original NFS is on Saturn however. I remember when NFS II came out I was kind of indifferent to it as it was so much different than the original which I loved. It grew on me as time went on though. PS1 was when NFS really had soul. I started checking out around the time of Underground.

I remember playing the ever living hell out of NFS2 back in the day. Great selection. I love all these games.

I never got into the NFS series on the PS but I did however love and played "Rage Racer" to death when it came out. It was part of the Ridge Racer series which I actually did not get into any of the other ones. Great vid dude \m/

What I remember most besides the sleek menus and music, was being impressed by the active spoilers on the concept cars, driving the T-Rex prop on Monolithic Studios, and cutting thru Vancouver's massive shortcut in 2-player. I LOVE early NFS, but I gotta say, this game's glaring weakness was its tracks. Coming off the first game, the massive elevation changes here impressed, but overall they were either boring or troll, and only one or two maps were fun to drive (Mediterranean). NFS III: Hot Pursuit was such a gigantic step above, that I've actually never gone back to this game since NFS3 dropped! Poor console NFS II... it didn't have the cars of "SE", it doesn't have the lasting impact of the first and third games, and it's not as interesting as Porsche Unleashed. Still, it was probably the first console game with the McLaren F1, and it had that memorable pistol ad!
