There is an episode in the future of WML being advertised as Groucho destroys the show. It's dangerous to underestimate Groucho, but I can't imagine him breaking things up any better and any more charming than what Debbie Reynolds did during her turn at MG this night. I am guessing that she had already been booked on WML when Eddie Fisher divorced her and married the person she considered one of her closest friends. Maybe she was crying on the inside, but on the outside she held her head high, wore a huge smile and had fun.

Yes, this illustrates the panel's readiness to pick up on potential laugh lines, even by drifting away from the basic challenge of the game. This was a delightful episode! So much fun. I was sorry that it started with Bennett Cerf saying, "with your very obvious liquid assets…" That didn't seem to go over very well, so I'm glad they moved on. The show ended well, however, with the delightful, funny, charming Debbie Reynolds! That was a lot of fun!

I didn't understand the 'liquid assets' part. What did he mean?

I love when Debbie Reynolds is on the show she is one of the funniest guest the ever had. I so time think she would have been good as a stand up comic. I for one did have a problem with them let thing her drag on and on.

Looking back over my comment from seven years ago you can tell I really needed to review what I'm typing. What I was trying to say is that I believe Debbie would have been a great standup comic. I don't have a problem with them letting her go on and on.

Damn, they had electric bed warmers in 1959, and here I am in 2021 and never even seen one.
