Getting nasty stuff over with for an end result doesn't mean entirely forgetting yourself. Sacrifices YOU want to make for a desire YOU have. If the cost is too high, of course you reconsider (even tho it's not always healthy either, some guys push it too far for their own mental health of course). I think young girls aren't taught that enough. There's that weird dual thing of "you're pretty and will have it all" paired with "you shouldn't make waves and should be accommodating". At the end of the day, a well balanced adult should know that life takes sacrifice, but wisdom dictates where that sacrifice should be. If the cost of a dream is too high, sacrifice the dream. Reinvent yourself, to not loose yourself.
