What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go awry. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.

I would have to agree with you, because the exact same thing happened, I was at a Pizza Inn with a Friend of Mine named Sarah, I noticed a little boy and his mom was sitting in a table that was next to hours, he was waiting for his friends to arrive, His mom told him to stay there while she makes some phone calls, after she left, the little boy started crying, I got up from the booth and asked him if he was ok, and Sarah was talking to the mom, I started rallying other people, we started celebrating his birthday party, also Sarah and I, and some other people had pooled our money, and we gave it to him, I told him that he could buy whatever he wants, Like a New Toy or a Remote Control Car, or a Modal Car, or a new Video Game.

I’m 25 now and i think i lack a lot of social skills because i was rarely exposed to new people in my life especially that i never changed my school from kindergarten to year 12. chetan McConaughey wasn’t commenting about the show. Commenting on the perspective and rationale of the original post. Saying they’re happy there is no racism or Karen’s in the vid. I’m making the point that racism and Karen’s are not prevelant at all and the things that should be important are rarely ever shown. This is on purpose to keep you emotional and easy to control. As for the video. It’s obvious that humans will help. It’s in human nature. That’s why it pisses me off that people are too gullible and fall for everyone and everything is racist or Karen this and Karen that.

Literally cried because only two people came to my birthday party last year. I planned it for weeks. I bought a banner and party favors and everything. I'm turning 16 this year and I don't think I'll have a party because I don't have any friends anymore. It warms my heart that everyone made him have the best birthday ever and that the last guy rounded up everyone to come and sing to him. Bless that man. 2/10/2023 Edit: Just saw all of these replies. I am happy to report that even though I didn't have any friends, my family threw me a surprise party. I am so blessed and I am definitely crying a bit reading all of these kind replies. Bless you all, I hope people spread the love to you as you have to me. Thank you for giving me light and hope in such a painful time. 💗 10/12/2023 Edit: It's my birthday! I'm seventeen years old now. Every time I get sad about the people I lost, I go back to these comments, and this video. I still don't have any friends coming in person to my birthday parties, but I have my family. And I made new friends who still tried to celebrate with me and give me gifts even though it's online. And these random strangers on the internet who replied to my comment with their own love to share with me. I hope you all have great birthdays. Mine has been just amazing ❤

Not having a female friend to celebrate Christmas with every year hurts very deeply. Even though I know I'm a good person, feeling that no one loves you enough to be with you is the most painful thing in my life. And a birthday IS like Christmas.

Ik I’m late on this but when I was 6 or 7, my friend threw a birthday party where she invited pretty much everyone we knew. Both of us had something wrong with us, and I probably would’ve struggled so hard to make friends if my mom didn’t make a ton of them for me. And thanks to that, I introduced most of my friends to eachother, but none of them were really clicking with this girl. Some of them didn’t like her too much, but still rasped yes. Her aunt was trying to make it special because it was her first birthday without her mom. The guest bags were filled to the brim, there were games galore, and they got two riding horses for us to take turns on. No one else showed up, even though some of them had already rvsped either “maybe” or “yes”. She looked sad for a moment before looking at me and saying, “More fun for us.” And honestly I’ll remember that party forever. We got unlimited time on the horses, played all the games, and her Aunt talked to my mom and decided to take us to an amusement park the next day. Both of us still have the pictures from the rides. She wasn’t even a close friend until that party- and after that we were essentially best friends and never even talked to the people who didn’t show up. I think of her anytime I hear about no one showing up because it wasn’t even my party and the whole thing broke my heart cause I knew she was genuinely upset. And looking back, she was letting me do things that I didn’t think much of (letting me take turns riding her scooter) but she told me later that she was just hoping that I didn’t realize how “sucky” her party was cause no one else was there. 😢

@Epic Gamer at least be happy that you got a cake, some people don't even get a cake or they don't celebrate their birthday at all. The present that I got from my mom still hasn't arrived after 8 months and a lot of family members weren't even there, I've never had a party with my friends but I'm so grateful and happy that my grandma and mother were there and my mom made a delicious cake and a pizza. I'm so happy with that and a bunch of people I don't know well wished me a happy birthday via the internet. So please be happy about what you get, and don't be mad about what you don't get. Be happy with the little things because one day you maybe will have to celebrate your birthday alone.

If you get an invitation from someone and not show up, it’s a complete disgrace to the invitee who treated you enough as a friend to invite you to their birthday party. Secondly, hats off to all the customers and strangers who came by and decided to join Cody’s birthday party! It was really heartwarming! I can say from my own personal experience, sometimes a little bit of kindness can make someone’s day❤

It happened to me. I always had my family celebrate with me, but one year I asked and was given permission to invite my classmates. My school friends didn't show up and my mom never invited them again because even though I put on a brave face and made the best of it, she knew it broke my heart. I know this because in 3rd grade I overheard her telling her sister that if it wasn't for me wanting to go to their parties she wouldn't have taken me since they didn't show up to mine.

I went to a girls birthday party in 3rd grade and was the only one there. She was constantly picked on and had such low self esteem. We were the “popular,” girls who played sports and were in student council and all that jazz, but I always stuck up for her. We went miniature golfing and had a great time. We still y’all every now and then on FB and she always tells me joe much it meant to her. Being a nice person is not that hard, especially to kids. ❤️

@@gwenmloveskpopcecmore Pretty much both. But you can’t really tell what’s going on in their brains, it’s said that abusers and manipulative people never question their actions as wrong and always blame it on someone else. When I was older around 16-17 they finally allowed me to hang out downtown but by then I distanced myself from people and didn’t have close friends anyway. We had a special needs kid in my class in 3rd/4th grade who invited the entire class to a pizza birthday party. I RSVP'ed and said I wouldn't be going, along with apparently every other kid in class. Nobody really liked him. His mom ended up bringing the pizza to school after talking to the teacher, so he got his party. But to this day, I regret it and feel so sad that that poor kid had to go through all that rejection. I vowed that when my kids get invited to a party, I don't care how unpopular the kid is, their asses are going and they'll be grateful for the opportunity. There's no reason to be that unkind, ever. (Of course, we homeschool to, among many other reasons, escape bullying and other cruel kids, but that's a different topic.)

Well, at least you were curteous enough to respond with the rsvp. It probably sucked pretty bad for your classmate. But the result made an impression on you and that's a positive thing. Knowing this, I don't think you shouldn't force your kids to go if they really don't want to (maybe the kid is an actual jerk or something) but yes, they need to be strongly encouraged to do so. As we try to teach acceptance, at some point we have to realize that not everyone is going to like us and there are going to be people that we don't like. And that's okay.
@TheBdjx

We live and we learn. I had social anxiety as a kid and when I was invited to parties I always made up an excuse why I couldn't go. Now that I'm older, I regret it a lot. It's good that you're correcting your mistakes through your kids and it's also awesome to see people embracing homeschooling.
