What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go awry. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. The therapist approached the situation really well. She didn’t immediately attack the mother, whilst still educating her about the damage she could have done.

to be honest, if i had an overweight daughter, i would still give her donuts, just a smaller portion, but she is still havjng a donut

@flight oflightning absolutely, that's how it should be! anyone who treats their other kids but not their overweight child and brings them ALL to a dessert shop is just mean. the kid can be a diet but still have a treat here and there. being on a diet and not having something you crave once in a while will gonna make you depressed and more likely to break the diet because you're forcing yourself to diet way too hard.. i feel so sorry for any child actually going thru this 😞

@@444riya That is true. I feel like kids should have some leisure and go to places to eat. I might "inadvertently" drive them to eat healthier without them realizing. But at the same time sometimes we need to enjoy ourselves. I am the type of person to encourage healthy eating, but I wouldn't make someone feel disheartened because of how they are. Bullying someone for their insecurity is disgusting.

I've had enough of people saying "being fat is unhealthy" "you are damaging them" what I'm saying BODY SHAMING itself hurt not saying they should stay chubby and not go on a diet I'm on a diet myself just because it more healthy! stop coming at me for God sake

Honestly I think some of you are mixing harrassment with like normal sibling play and fight tbh playing and joking and lime normal fighting just may seem annoying and irritating but hassrament makes you feel depressed hurt mentally physically verbally and wondering am I enough making you hurt and feeling pulled into an corner and punished mentally for no reason.

I was chubby as a child, got most comments from kids in school. Got Anorexia by the time I was 13. Took around 15 years to reach normal weight. But once you have those thoughts around weight so close every day.. they never leaves your mind. I am so happy you bring light to this subject ❤

@BUFF MINER ζ⃠ rude comments on someones appearance or weight, especially when they are a kid can lead to someone not eating as much because they now have the mentality that food=fat , and fat=bad. i was bullied as a child for being on the heavier side, but that affected my mindset a lot and led me to believing that any and all food would make me fat, and if i was fat, i was unlikable. Anorexia can be caused by many things however, like trauma, OCD , or gender dysphoria.

@BUFF MINER ζ⃠ that would be arfid i think, its another eating disorder. its not really mental or focused on control, but its kind of like picky eating to the max where people just refuse to eat certain foods out of fear of texture/taste/smell. its mostly with kids who have autism or ocd

Watching these is so cathartic. My father used to criticise me like this in public and bully me relentlessly about what I was allowed to eat. By the time I was seven I already had awful body dysmorphia but when I look at photographs of myself I can see I was genuinely 100% normal sized for a child. Seeing people stick up for kids going through the same thing, even when they're just actors, seriously heals me in the noggin lol

@@princessazula600 To an extent but as child you eat the food your parents give you and you pick up the habits they teach you. I know this is an act but if a child needs to lose weight, the whole family needs to take part and change their diet too. Using food as a reward like this is an unhealthy mentality to have as it reinforces an emotional connection with food. Why not reward both kids with a fun activity they can do together?

If you don't know when you're over weight/ obese you start running into alot of medical problems so he tried his best to educate although he knew the mom was being cruel he tried a more gentle approach and using himself as an example to encourage her.🤦🏽‍♀️ and he spoke nun but facts.

I understand where the mom is coming from, my cousin is 200 lbs at 7 years old., but my family would never ever tell her she’s fat, or bring her into a doughnut shop but tell her no doughnuts. In our situation we aren’t worried about her physical image, but her health and mobility.

The way I see it is if your cousin let's say did good in school and got an A's it would not hurt to have a treat cause she earned it. That is why the mom was at the doughnut shop to reward the girls, but its not fair to reward the thin daughter, but not the other daughter when she said she got better grades and she has been healthy all week. Was not fair of the mom. I struggled with weight it can take time. Its all bout monitoring your portions too. If I was that mom yes I would give her 1 doughnut, but that will be her only treat of the day. cause remember kids are still growing too. The mom was sorta right but its not okay to humiliate her daughter and make her feel worse than she already is. She is 8 and who knows she could grow up to be beautiful. The best thing to do is teach kids about portions. I use to be over weight but now i lost 37 pounds. It took me a while but I did it.

Body shaming causes: Eating disorders Depression Suicidal thoughts Suicide attempts Severe anxiety Sadness Self hate Lack of confidence And basically killing their personality. Dont do that to people.
