Any way to convert a motor like that into a servo? By adding an incoder in place of the brake?

How do you go about using servo motors to make wings flap? Like a portable prop set of wings.

Servo motors are appropriate for wing mechanisms in bird props like I did with my Parrot - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ar2bdLBhq9asfWQ.html If you are looking to make a full costume size mechanism, servos probably lack the necessary torque. You'll need to go to a linear actuator and carry the batteries or pneumatics with a portable air tank. I haven't built a full set for myself yet but their are plenty of videos available showing some options. That's a good method for the wings but I was trying to make them rotate a 90 degree angle each wing would have their own motor. I would rather them open and close like a book over extentending wingspan. I could up the serve but I don't want to overload it. I would need a control or as well. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNB_hZR_ubGwZoU.html I need to know how she did this motion.

I think I might need some advice I don’t know what to use for the base of my animatronics for the parts and arms and legs I’m making a dragon I don’t want to reveal too much because I’m worried about someone stealing my idea

It’s also going to have artificial intelligence and be able to see through camera lens show emotions and etc. and I need is someway to defend itself Or me BTW it’s going to be a girl

@@johnkoester7795 I understand your reluctance to share too much info. However once you showcase your creation, there will be those that copy it. Take it as a compliment that others appreciate your work enough to reproduce it. I've used a Go Pro and cell phone combo before on my JARVIS robot - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/armigq-Eq9TDZas.html but will probably switch to a FPV system like those used in drones. Haven't tried this one yet but will probably order one - www.aliexpress.com/item/32667753799.html

A wheelchair platform would make a great base for a dragon. In fact, it was one of the suggestions I received for mine but I have no need for a dragon.
